When was the last time the Cubs went this long without a run? I'd also be interested to know what the longest stretch the Cubs have ever gone without a run.

I'm starting to believe that rather than this being a slow start, maybe the offense just isn't that good.

 

Winner. Just wait until Soriano goes into a slump and Ramirez misses 2 weeks with a hammy tweak. And Theriot and Fuku remember they aren't really good.

Except that Fuku actually IS really good.

We got worse with the Bradley move too. Just wait until he tears his ACL next month.

What it is, is pitchers that can throw strikes will beat the Cubs. We saw it at the end of last year. Guys with no control will fall to the patience of our lineup, but if they pound the zone, we are in trouble.
