Dangit, Geo.

Any time you want to start hitting now is just fine with me.

Lingering shoulder issues that he's keeping quiet, perhaps?

Or it's only 15 AB's, maybe?

What the hell was that Geo? He should've parked the pitch before the DP ball and he barely got a piece of it.

It's early, pitchers are ahead of hitters, his timing is off, that is to be expected.

That's definitely true but that was about a 91 mph straight fastball that was begging to be crushed.

Sit down, Luckwick.

That's even more evidence that it's just a slump and he's not quite right yet in the batter's box. Even bad hitters can normally crush that pitch if they are seeing the ball well. Geo is just slumping and knocking the rust off imo.

nice job Z!

Guys who you always have to worry about for downturns:

Catchers.

Mediocre minor leaguers who suddenly start hitting for two years.

Soto is both.

Not saying he will decline, but you write his contributions in pencil.

It seems a tad bit premature to think Soto has regressed.

WHO THE HELL BOUGHT A CLARK GRISWOLD BLACKHAWKS JERSEY?!

I have no idea who this is, or why I should be outraged.

Chevy Chase's character in the Vacation movies.

It'd be like buying a Henry Rowengartner Cubs jersey.

Especially when you consider he had a stretch in the middle of last season where he struck out in eight consecutive at-bats. He bounced back from that just fine.

He'll rebound from this slow start.

I saw that the other day.

Aren't catchers a worry when they are in their early 30s and have a lot of catching innings in their knees? Soto is still only what 26?

Of course it is. I still think he is going to have to put together a couple of good years, because of his past, before people can question him as somewhat of a fluke though.`
