Zambrano homers next inning, but then gets ejected for breaking his bat and plunging both ends into the ground in celebration.

EVERYBODY STAND STILL THEY ARE SINGING GOD BLESS AMERICA IN YANKEE STADIUM

What?

Senile Steinbrenner forced Yankee stadium attendees to endure an awful rendition of that song every freaking 7th inning stretch, so instead of 7th inning stretching, and players warming up, everybody stands still and pretends to honor America.

I turned a TV to YES Network to watch some baseball.

Is it true that they kick you out if you are moving out of your seat while the song is playing?

I know of at least one patron being kicked out of a Yankee game because he was moving during "God Bless America."

I don't think so. I've been there quite a few times and don't remember any sort of enforced standing still. Although I just usually stand up.

Typical Cardinals, random unknown player becomes allstar.

I'm sure they are saying the same thing about the successes of Soto, Dempster, Marmol, Fontenot and Theriot.

Marmol and Soto were top 10 prospects in the Cubs system at one time, Soto was even a top 75 prospect in all of baseball going into last season.

Before his last year in the minors, Soto wasn't anything more than a middling prospect in the Cubs org projected to be a backup catcher in the bigs. The fact that all the sudden he had a breakout year at age 25, made the majors and won ROY still irks some Cards fans. No doubt Marmol was a top 10 prospect, but the way he took over the setup role and became arguably the best setup guy in baseball also irks Cards fans.

Soriano should just close his eyes and swing instead.

98 pitches for NL ROY Walters, will they bring him back out next inning?

Soriano's peaks are soooo high.

And his valleys are sooo low.

I see he's entered "time to suck" mode. Please come out of it soon.

Well, that's just odd. Young players do have the ability to improve.

Of course there are Cubs fans who can't figure out why or how guys like Ludwick and Carpenter have had sustained success after mediocre starts to their big league careers. If there is talent, it can be honed when the player is healthy.

Are you guys talking to the Cardinals fans in your head or going to stltoday for your inside info? I've never heard anyone complain about Soto and Marmol.

Agree. I'm a Cards fan, and I like Soto a lot. He plays the game right, and he's an exciting young player.

I even bought my Cub fan Dad an authentic Soto jersey for Xmas.

One bad game and he's in "time to suck" mode? He was 7 for his last 19 with 2 HRs and 5 BBs only 3 Ks before today.

Another Cards fan here. We are not irked by Fontenot and Theriot. But I doubt any Cubs fan is seriously irked by our no-named infielders.
