Heh, if you didn't watch the game or know when that took place you'd say that was an easy flagrant.

I still disagree.

And Garnett's a stupid [expletive].

You don't think that's a flagrant?

How can you think thats not a flagrant? You have to make an attempt to go for the ball, and the ball was already out of his hands when Rondo bitch slapped Miller across the face. Thats as obvious as it gets

I feel like if anyone ever actually stood up to KG, he'd get his butt whooped. And I'd pay good money to see it.

Loss is on Derrick.

It was a team effort.

And the refs didn't help.

He's the PG. There is no team offense without him besides Salmons and Gordon isolations.

I'm not mad at him or anything, he's a rookie. It's clear he's confused by what Boston's doing to him defensively. He can't get the dribble drive going and they're not far enough off of him where he's comfortable making jumpers. I did think we didn't do enough pick and roll though.

This is an awful, awful post.

Derrick Rose dribble drives and then looks to do what every good point guard looks to do when they can't finish which is kick it out to the open man. Unfortunately no one on his team gets open with a man shadowing Gordon at all times and everyone else running around like a bunch of 5 year olds looking forward to an All Sport after the game in their Biddy basketball league. The team has no defensive cohesiveness, takes terrible shots, doesn't get open, doesn't move the ball in the half court set up, is clumsy, is small and very very little of that falls on Derrick Rose's shoulders. This is a bad team with a few individuals who can pull games out of the fire and give people who don't know what they are watching a false sense of faith in the quality of the team.

It's pathetic coaching, a weird mix of the roster, unorganized offense and terrible, terrible defense.

I don't because there's plenty of times when someone is driving the lane and gets smacked in the face. One reason why people are questioning if it's a flagrant or not is because of Miller's reaction and the cut that he sustained in his mouth. If that didn't happen, no one would be saying it was a flagrant. I think if you call a flagrant on that, just make basketball WNBA-quality because that's pretty ridiculous. You don't make a flagrant call on that with the situation as it was.

Big Baby's hard foul on Gordon at the end of the first OT on Sunday was much more flagrant-worthy than this. I know people are still going to disagree with me, but I can't get on the refs case for that.

What does all of that say about the Celtics then?

this bulls team is crap. I think Boston is by far the better team, and have been playing bad collectively as a team. We have a weird mix of players on our roster. We lack a true pure scorer who is a solid leader. Our defense is really bad.

As long as we're going to hammer on the refs for every single call they made, right or wrong: Were any of Ray Allen's 6 fouls legit?

Did Tony Allen even touch Gordon on the 2 pointer they gave him free throws on?

Have the Bulls stopped fouling Paul Pierce on every drive yet?

Absolutely not. What we've seen ths series is that without Garnett, Boston is no better then the current Bulls team. And while I do agree that the Bulls do a "weird mix of players", I do not agree that Bulls don't have a true "pure scorer". BG is about as pure of a scorer as you can get in this league, the problem is he is streaky, but when he is in a groove (like he is in the playoffs) he is an elite scorer, but nothing else. Defensively, the Bulls couldn't stop the "Goldern Girls" from scoring, much less Boston.

Other then that, I still believe the Bulls will pull off the upset and beat Boston in 7.

The Bulls have won 2 nailbiters. The Celtics have won 2 nailbiters. The Celtics have one utter embarrassment of the Bulls.

Celtics = Bulls?

This Bulls team isn't crap. Both Ben Gordon and John Salmons are playing wounded and we're missing our 71 million dollar man.

Out of all of the times to say that this year, you say it now. There's one of them in every crowd.

Yes our defense is brutal but we're far from "crap," especially after the deadline. I'm not quite following the "weird mix of players" line either.

This Bulls team definitely needs to be shook up a little. Tyrus Thomas needs to go because it's clear he isn't the player Paxson thought he was getting when he traded for him in 2006. We need to get a low post presence in here that can work alongside Rose.

Again, the timing of this post doesn't make any sense. What is this, January?

I agree Tyrus needs to go if we can get Bosh or Amare but I still think that's a pipe dream. I think Tyrus is ok, and I'm one of the biggest supporters of LaMarcus Aldridge that you'll find.

Tyrus is terrible. He'll never be a good player in the NBA. He just doesn't have the basketball IQ.

That's not true, but you're entitled to that line of thinking.

So was Jay Cutler a pipedream. I'm not giving up hope that the Bulls can get either Bosh or Amare. The question is will Paxson make a "Jay Cutler" type gamble trade this offseason?

Well it does take two to trade, so PHX or Toronto also have to be willing to move Amare or Bosh (even if they do decline extensions). I saw something on RealGM yesterday that said Pax still plans on stepping down as GM and moving into another capacity in the organization so take that for what it's worth.

I really wish I could be as optimistic as you about winning this series. If we win game 6, then who knows? I really don't see how that's possible though.

What has he shown in his 3 years as a Bull that makes you think otherwise? Dude is terrible. Get the 43% shooting low-basketball IQ PF off my team.

The problem is both our starting PF and C can only rebound and shot block. Dont get me wrong, those are important stats.....but there is NO scoring presence down there. They both dont have a reliable mid range game, and cant play with their backs to the basket.

Thats a big problem if you ask me.

There was a time I liked KG. Now I wish someone would do to him what Rondo did to Brad Miller. Punkass. BG's done a hell of a lot more for his team in this series, including gutting it out the last three halves, than KG has for his.

I don't have as many ref complaints as most - I think we got a few calls in the 2nd half that we normally wouldn't get on the road - but I don't see why Rajon Rondo is getting calls any time he initiates contact on the drive now. And I really don't see how many times Gordon or Salmons is going to have to be put on their backs while taking a runner or jump shot before a whistle's blown. Gordon was pretty much thrown to the floor on that wild shot he hit in OT.
