congrats to the canes. there must be ones of people going nuts in the streets of raleigh, or charlotte, or greensboro, or wherever they play.

There are plenty of great hockey fans here in NC. I'm not one of them (although I have enjoyed this postseason and could see myself paying more attention to the sport in the future), but there is still plenty of public attention and dedication to the team. But you would know better I'm sure since you're closer to the community.

 

Will it ever reach the popularity here as in of northern states? Probably not. But they're far from the Florida Marlins when it comes to communal support.

NHL 2009 says it's becoming a hockey town. That's enough for me.

Yea... he has really impressed me in these playoffs... no crying all skill... not saying I'm a fan or close to one, but if he keeps it up we'll talk :-D I know he's just DYING to have me as a fan and all...
