Come on Ducks! Give me some hope that we'll have home ice advantage for the conference finals! It would remind me of the Arizona Cardinals inexplicably having HFA for the NFC Championship game with a 9-7 record.

I tried to count the number of fights after the game but lost count. At the very least I hope they all beat the #$%^ out of each other in game 7.

Looked a lot worse then the penalties that were handed out:

20:00 Anaheim Corey Perry: 2 minutes, roughing

20:00 Anaheim Corey Perry: 5 minutes, fighting

20:00 Anaheim Corey Perry: 10 minutes, misconduct

20:00 Anaheim Scott Niedermayer: 5 minutes, fighting

20:00 Anaheim Todd Marchant: 10 minutes, game misconduct

20:00 Anaheim Ryan Getzlaf: 2 minutes, hooking

20:00 Anaheim Ryan Getzlaf: 2 minutes, roughing

20:00 Detroit Pavel Datsyuk: 5 minutes, fighting

20:00 Detroit Brian Rafalski: 5 minutes, fighting

Just out of curiosity, but what's the point of handing out penalties after a game is over? Do they carry over at all to the next game?

No. The game misconducts will be reviewed and possible fines handed out. The funny thing is there is no way they would hand out these types of penalties if the game was actually going on. The Wings would have a 2 min 5 on 3 and than 2 more minutes of PP. So not only do they not matter, they wouldnt have handed out these types of penalties if it did.

I dont understand what Getzlaf was thinking. The Ducks played their best game of the series. Detroit was frustrated. So instead of going to give your goalie a high five for playing well, he starts a fight after the game. The NHL isnt going to hand out suspensions for this, but you are pushing the envelope. Also, Anaheim has looked the best during this series when they quit acting like goons and skate hard, like they did most of the game yesterday. It was almost like they were told to behave the entire game and if they do they can goon it up as soon as its over. I also dont understand why Getzlaf didnt get a misconduct.

That elbow by Niedermayer was wicked.

I look at the box score this morning and saw all those PIMs at the end and was hoping someone had posted it. Thanks!

If it wasnt game 7, if he was not a top player...he may be facing a suspension for that. I think I have found the NHLs standard.

Looks like my softball game is getting rained out, so I'll actually get to watch Bettman's dream game. Bet he still has his morning wood right now.

Crosby scores ANOTHER PP point on at least a legit TWO MINUTE penalty, but they're still going to get another PP because Crosby got a 4 minute PP for not bleeding.

6-1.
