Who cares... pointless game.

 

Sucks the Hawks were forced to lose in the pointless shootout (the stupidest thing to ever occur in sports). It's like the Cubs being tied after the 9th and being forced to go to a home run derby.

 

Sucks the Hawks got another fake loss.

Fukudome sucks, he's terrible, he's going to have another bad year.

Really, though. I've said it all along - I think he's going to be just fine this year. Granted, proclaiming his problems fixed after this one game is as stupid as proclaiming him as still terrible after two games. That said, It's still nice to see him have a really, really good night.

I had a feeling Guzman would look alot better once he got out of Arizona. I remember him struggling in spring 07 to, and once the season started he pitched very well.

Again, why keep Bradley in the game? If you're putting Gathright into CF, moved Fuku over to RF for the 9th.

 

You beat me to it. Stupid. Why pull the superior defender when you could move him to his natural position?

 

 

Reporters asked Lou that the other night. He said Milton is a good outfielder and he won't be replacing him for defense. After some of the mistakes Fukudome made in CF towards the end of spring. I think Lou is little nervous about Fukudome defense in CF. But if he starts to do well I'm sure Lou will keep him in there.

It's not that Bradley isn't a good fielder it's just that Kosuke is just a really good fielder and even better. Kosuke was probably one of the top defensive RF last year. Plus anytime you can get Bradley out of the game, even if it's just 1/2 an inning, it should help keep him fresh(er)/healthier.

Fuku is still a much better fielder, and Milton is injury prone to boot. It makes zero sense.
