Was Berkman crying, cause neither of those 1st 2 pitches on Gameday looked to be strikes.

Anyone remember that game at Wrigley where he got hit and acted like he was dead?

Didn't it hit off his bat? I also have a vague memory of him laughing about it at 1B.

It may have, he was laughing because he managed to come back from the dead.

He was the guy who was terrified of lightning, wasn't he?

Ran off the field of play like a little girl when that crazy lightning storm hit this past summer.

And ripped off the necklace he was wearing in fear.

I remember taking the Red Line to work the next morning. The cemetery north of Wrigley had a ton of downed trees from where the lightning had just ripped them apart. It was the worst storm I can remember in terms of how powerful it was.

On the bright side... the Columbus Blue Jackets just entered the NHL playoffs for the first time ever. Hawks game in OT.
