Yeah, Wood wasn't exactly 1-2-3, but I can see where the confidence in Wood was because you knew Wood had the stuff to get out of the jams he got himself in, while the jury is still out on Gregg for Cubs fans.

Gregg doesn't seem to have nearly the stuff that Wood does, relying on the sinker/slider set to keep hitters off balance and get them to ground out/fly out. That doesn't mean he can't be equally effective, it'll just be in a different way.
