I don't know about you guys, but I think the ARod situation is ridiculous. There is really no point to bringing his name out other than to ruin him. This is not justice until all 104 are released, then you are trying to correct something. Right now its just to ruin a man's career and reputation. Which is fine, its the bed he's made - but not fair when there are 104 others.

Exactly. I don't know what Rodriguez did to deserve this, but the person in NY that did this must really not like the guy. I'd be willing to put a lot of money on whomever leaked this being a Yankee fan. I don't understand why many Yankee fans dislike A-Rod so much.

He hasn't been very good for them in the postseason.

He's been good for them in the postseason more often than he's been bad.

Oh of course he has. I was just getting at the fact that fans are usually stupid. He was supposed to make them the best team in baseball, and they haven't made much noise in the playoffs since he got there.

what the hell, that last pic of the bobblehead is seriously creeping me out.

That was the idea and coming from the poster with some freaky dog as his avatar seems hypocritical.

I'll tell you what, if Sammy didn't do steroids, he had a five year run of homerun power that is incomparable.

Yeah, he probably used PED's. He was still damn near the only reason to tune into a Cubs game for a long time. I enjoyed it immensely, and the steroid revelations of the past couple years have barely diminished it for me, if at all.

I'll have to agree with you here. Sammy was one of my favorites when he played, and I still remember how much I enjoyed him. I was at the Cubs-Rangers game when he hit 600. Even though I was a Cubs fan, I stood, cheered, and relished the moment. The fact that he may or may not have juiced took nothing away from that. It is definitely in my top five coolese in-person sports moments.

My favorite

I LOVED that game. 8-)

Anyway, on topic;

Yeah, there's a good chance he probably did juice. It's pretty unfair to say that anyone from that era didnt unless there is undeniable proof. But at the same time, like has been stated before, there's still no evidence he ever did so to assume he did isn't really the best idea either.

Regardless, though, Sammy is probably the sole reason I'm a Cubs fan today. I'll never forget the first cubs game I ever went to was Sept 18, 1999 - the day Sammy hit #60 for the second year straight. God, that was an amazing moment.

I just find it hilarious that there is NOTHING on Sammy. It's really just him losing his English before Congress and stories of bags of money lost in the Dominican Republic. So either Sammy Sosa was the luckiest Steroid Era ballplayer in history, didn't juice, or DR drug runners know basic respect for their customers. Or a little of 2 or more of those, lol.

Sorry, but until you have the smoking gun you have nothing on Sammy. No fair excuse to not put him in the Hall of Fame on Day 1. Assuming he's really done with MLB and his clock is ticking. And that smoking gun may never come.

Well done Sammy for at least keeping your stuff on the down low. Ha.

That was the last Cubs game I've been to in person. Or second to last, I forget.

And as funny as is it is that Wendell is accusing Sammy, he was his teammate and even he only offers inuendo and speculation. He never once says somebody heard Sammy talk about it or that someone in the clubhouse saw Sammy juicing. As small as the Cubs clubhouse is and as divisive as Sammy was there, you'd think if he were doing it, someone would know and someone would talk.

Same thing about Mark Grace who loathed the guy for stealing his spotlight.
