Not the gotcha I was expecting.

I was expecting to read that Victor Zambrano needed surgery.

Nah:

If its that guy it usually says "Zambrano," as Big Z usually only refers to Carlos.

If I were the doctor who's going to operate on Z, I'd feel a ton of pressure. What if you accidentally screw up or something?

as opposed to some random patient who doesn't need vision?

Lasik surgery is definitely on my list of things to do in the next couple of years. I've had it with contacts and glasses.

If I had the money I'd get lasik surgery. But I don't make $15 mil a year like some ppl.

Lasik isn't that expensive.

Lol I know. But it's like $3000. Which to me, is expensive.

Zambrano would crush him like a bug

I got Lasik a few years back, and it is the BEST investment I ever made.

I got it when the new "Interlace" method came out, which is much safer than some of the older methods. Basically, if I understand it right, the main problems people had with Lasik was the healing of the "flap" of cornea that is cut away before they go in with lasers. In some cases, the "flap" would come off again - which is not an issue with the newer "Interlace" technique.

Correct me if I am wrong, anyone.

Anyway, I was seeing 20/10 the next day - perfect vision, the same as an Eagle and Ted Williams.

So, spend the $3000 (I spent much less) but do your homework and find the best in your area. Usually you get a loan right there over the phone at the office, and you can make small payments monthly depending on your credit.

There's a fairly wide range of prices. I know one doctor in Manhattan charges $5k per eye. But I'm pretty sure you can do both for $1000 at other places.

I'm one of few people with 20/20 vision that wears glasses, my last eye test was in April when I got my new pair of glasses and basically said that I have 20/20 vision. I look better in glasses so I wear them.

Are you a candidate for Lasik surgery if you wear bifocals? (yeah, I'm old)

You can still have the procedure done, but it probably won't correct your close range vision. You'll probably still need reading glasses. I'm getting closer to the day that I have the procedure done. I have it all. I'm nearsighted, I have astigmatism in each eye and my next doctor visit will require the purchase of bifocals. I've been wearing glasses for 21 years now. I lost my prescription sunglasses in Vegas in August, and that really sucks.
