I've got to be coming close to that record by now.

whatever it is, it's probably held by Raisin in the Minor Leagues forum

Yeah, I was afraid one of those would be pretty lengthy.

It doesn't matter anyway, because you broke my streak.

Or Fred during a game thread in 2007.

I was going to go with Post Count Padder in the Milestone Post thread.

Yeah, I've had pages where I'm the only one posting in those minor league game threads.

I think it was 2006 when the Cubs were horrible.

Here's a shocker. The Bucs have fired Jon Gruden and GM Bruce Allen.

Never saw this one coming. Probably more surprising - especially at this point - than the Shanahan firing.

Yeah, this is a weird time to fire a coach

There's some reports going around that Jason Garrett is on a plane to St. Louis and will be named head coach of the Rams.

I heard that they may name their coach today. May not be til tomorrow at this point, but there may be something to the rumors you're hearing.

They may not have been considering any of these guys, but Jim Schwartz, Josh McDaniels and now (possibly) Jason Garrett are all off the table.

You're right, it's odd.

I thought he was already had the "head coach-in-waiting" label at Dallas? Isn't he getting paid more than some head coaches?

Just my speculation, but watch Shannahan be announced as GM/HC of the Bucs.

I'd be pleased with that.

I think some of the luster fell off his star this year. Also, there are lots of talk that Garrett has given Jerry an "Him or Me" Ultimatium regarding TO's placement on the team.

With the firing of Brian Stewart as DC, who was a Phillips guy, it's possible that Jerry is shaking things up. We'll see.

The guess is that Garrett isn't willing to wait any longer, and Jerry may not be ready to hand him the keys.

Brian Stewart sucked. With Gruden now being available along with Shanahan, I wonder how much Jones is rethinking his decision to keep Phillips.

I think you would see Shanahan to Dallas before Tampa Bay, but I could be wrong. First of all, Jerry and him get along really well. Shanahan was the only guy to give Owens a try-out and a contract before Jerry gave him a bigger one.

Hopefully, Jerry would be willing to give up his GM duties to Shanahan though.

This certainly didn't take long. The Bucs have decided on their new head coach and GM. (Hint - it's not Mike Shanahan)

The surprising firings of Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden and general manager Bruce Allen are expected to yield the quick hiring of Raheem Morris as head coach and Mark Dominik as general manager, according to multiple sources.

Fire a coach who led you to a Super Bowl and promote a coach who's never been a coordinator in the NFL? Interesting is the nicest thing I can say here. They better really, really like Morris.
