I finally pulled up a pair of $225 tickets, but I'm not going to pay that much to go. The $75 ones look to be all gone.

Got 2 bleacher tickets and a co-worker got 2. Probably gonna end up on ebay for 175 each haha... don't know if I want to go yet.

The nice thing to do would be to sell them to a die-hard Hawks fan (and Cubs fan of course!) who REALLY REALLY wants to go for face value :)

Resale market's gonna get flooded.

For the non-$75, yeah. From what I saw this morning and the limited # of $75 seats available today, I figure that you'd still be able to make a little bit. I doubt there's a risk for taking a loss on those.

Finally got through but they gave me $225 obstructed view seats. LOL, do the Hawks really think people are willing to pay that much for obstructed views?

Grrr ... now it looks like the $75 seats are gone. Anybody got any extras?

The thing is, someone will.

I got in for 2 obstructed at $325 each. I just couldn't pull the trigger - I can't eat that much $$$ if a complete moron doesn't come along and buy those from me.

Please, if anyone is willing to sell any tickets to a poor college student at or around face value...please let me know :) I promise the Hawks will win if I go (there was a time where the Cubs were 13-0 over a 2 year span with me in attendance).

I'm hoping the market will level itself out and the more expensive tickets will go for less. I just can't see 30k people paying over $200 to see this in this economy.

Seems like to me the market is pretty soft. Tons of people bought season tickets just to get these tickets and resell them. Just too much supply.

I would like to see them try and do this either during the pre Super Bowl bye week, on Super Bowl Saturday, maybe even during Super Bowl pregames, or a week or two after the super bowl, when the sports world is dead.

You think they would get better ratings during those times?

I lucked out and got 2 $240 tickets

What is face value on the seats?

Sorry, they were the $225 seats. After looking at the market, I'm considering just offering them for $250 a piece and hoping to get what I paid back. I was just in a rush and didn't have much time to think the purchase through and bought them.

I'm not much of a hockey fan (certainly don't hate the sport, just don't understand the finer points), but always like going to different sporting events. That said, the wife and I will be going to Chicago over NYE, how hard is it to get these tickets, are they sold out? I'd really like to go, but refuse to spend a fortune.

Rain delay on a Hockey game? Are they going to be able to get the ice rebuilt in time for the game?

There's an article in today's Tribune saying the ice should be fine and they're going to try and resurface it and the Sunday freeze should dramatically help after the thaw.

Countdown officially @ 3 days.

Ice is good, weather looks good... looks like we're on our way!

Now all we have to do is beat De-troit! And then beat them again and we are tied for the Central Division lead!

Another board I go to pointed out an interesting problem that could come up for the goalie at the NW end of the stadium. When the sun is shining off the ice, it appears the goalie and any player in that end would be blinded by the reflection:

Taken around 1:00pm.

The current forecast is 20 degrees, overcast, snow showers which will be perfect if that holds up. Any of you ever played pond hockey in the sun? I haven't but I can imagine how terrible it would be.

yes. The difference with pond hockey in northern Michigan and ice at wrigley is that the pond is actually a real dark green. The suns reflection is not that bad. I am sure whatever white base that they will be using at Wrigley will be quite different.
