it's a huge letdown that they're going to lose both games vs detroit. i thought this team was a lot better than that. they should be embarrassed with the effort today. there has been no intensity whatsoever since the first period.

Yeah we're not better than the Red Wings. I still think we are a top 4 team in the west, but there is no way we are better than the Wings and that sucks.

I have an inherent bias that I'll readily admit against French Canadian players. I don't like their style and i don't think they play with heart. Although the style thing doesn't apply to Huet, I don't think he plays with heart or intensity.

 

And he generally has just sucked all year, save for a couple games.

i know from experience with my team, the avs, it is a lot harder to win games 6-5 than it is 3-2. the hawks as improved as they are aren't going anywhere unless you get a regular goalie. or rather the better goalie starts more than the goalie with the monster contract.

Has anyone else noticed the complete lack of physical play of any kind after the first period? No more scrums in front of the net, no rough stuff.
