when does fox release the bcs?

usually between their two NFL games, to hold viewers

Nah, after the late game ~6:30 CT

i just checked the paper, it said it would be after the early game.

Nobody reads newspapers.

They've never done that before, I wonder if they were sick of getting scooped by projections.

Chris Mortensen on ESPN Sunday Countdown just said his sources are saying that Monte Kiffin is, in fact, planning on joining Lane in Tennessee after the year.

Mortensen made it sound like a done deal. I hope he's right.

That's a great thing to be able to do something like that.

This is a great hire, but the problem wasn't defense with Tennessee, it was the offense. Hey dew, any idea who is likely as OC?

No idea right now. I've heard (primarily from Hosak) that there's interest in Trooper Taylor, but otherwise not much.

I suspect Lane Kiffin will likely call the plays himself, but again that's pure speculation.

To be honest, Kiffin is going to struggle calling offensive plays when he doesn't have Reggie Bush, LenDale White, Mike Williams or a Steve Smith as his offensive targets. Which means dew, and I think you might agree is that keeping talented prospects like Marlon Brown, Eric Gordon (who really likes Alabama, btw) and Marsalis Teague (among others) in state. I really hope for UT sake those three young men stay in Tennessee, and make the Vols a much more talented and better team in 2009. Gordon and Berry in the secondary would be muy bueno.

I'm a bit concerned about Kiffin's playcalling here as well, but it can't result in much worse of an offense than we had this year. We have talent on this team, it just didn't perform this year (offensively, that is).

And I definitely hope that Kiffin, who is touted as a great recruiter, will be able to bring in at least some of the guys you listed. Gordon, Berry, Morley, Vinson. =P~

I agree. Tennessee might have the most underachieving team in college this yr. With that said, I think keeping Marlon Brown in state is crucial, IMO. He would give UT a Julio Jones/AJ Green type talent at WR for you guys. With that said, I do agree the names you listed are as crucial to keeping in state. I think the one that UT will have to fight to keep and perhaps might lose is Eric Gordon.

Harris poll jumps Texas over Oklahoma.

And a Florida/OU matchup will have to wait till next yr, or will have to played in another bowl.

Dude, Alabama is NOT going to beat Florida. They just aren't. Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson is going to be crying to his girlfriends by halftime

+1

Best of luck to OU next week. Should you lose it won't hurt my feelings at all :-). Its hard to argue against everything knowing how good that offense is, but sucks knowing Texas won head to head and lost on the final play of the game. Oh well, next year's team was supposed to be the title run team. I did want to see the Texas run defense against the Gators though.
