So, which is more likely now, that the Bears give the Lions their first win, or the Bears give the Titans their first loss? :)

It seems like the Bears matchup so well against the Titans, if that is possible. They are very strong against the run vs. a strong running-very weak passing team. Then again, this Lions game has letdown, stupid playoff killing loss written all over it

Yeah, but the Titans have already faced the number 1 and number 2 run D's in football (Baltimore and Minnesota) and won both. They can win in a variety of ways.

For a guy who lives in St. Louis and hasn't had a chance to watch many games, any particular reason the run D has been so much better this year? Is it just because they've had leads and the other teams have had to pass or is it actually good?

I think part of it has to do with the fact that the Bears have been so bad against the pass. The other part of it is that Harrison (rookie) and Dvoracek (injury) are new additions to the dl and they have been really solid, young players.

Yes, those 2 and Alex Brown have been real good vs. the run. Tommie Harris has been solid vs. the run when on the field. Kevin Payne has provided good support from the safety position and the CBs (other than Vasher) have been real good against outside runs.

The reason the Bears are bad against the pass is 100% due to lack of pass rush. Seems like the DL is good at standing up blockers, but can't get past them to the QB on passing downs.

Yeah, it's called turnovers. The Vikings committed 4 in their loss to the Titans. Tennessee won with TD scoring drives of 33 yards, 11 yards, and 6 yards.

They did put up back to back 80-yard drives in the 4th quarter to beat the Ravens, 13-10. Titans didn't run the ball well in either game.

Ron Rivera is a defensive coordinator again.

rex should go on a drunken depressed rampage and then we'd win every game.

This is just about as good a chance as any for the Bears to take over the NFC North. I'm almost more interested into the Titans/Packers game than I am this one. I have this bad feeling that GB will rise up and take down Tennessee. If that happens, the schedule shifts into their favor with us still to play Tennessee, and then still with 1 left against Detroit.

Nick Roach will be taking the place of Hillenmeyer, who is likely out for a few weeks with a thumb injury.

Not necessarily a bad thing. I want to see Roach play (and Hunter on the bench) anyway. I'm a big Jamar Williams fan, but he hasn't shown me anything when he's been out there this season.

Ill be interested to see this too. Id like to see how well he can cover a TE. HH is pretty good at that aspect. Id also like to see Manning back in the nickel rotation, at least this week if he's not McBride can play the slot rather than play on the edge(not that he's terrible on the edge).

JSC. I really expected him to be very below average at LT, he has been a nice surprise to me. I had visions of Mike Gandy this year. This was one reason i supported not placing CWilliams on IR. Now that Williams is getting closer to being on the field im not sure im in as much hurry as i was earlier to replace JSC with him. If Williams is inserted in the LT spot i am all for moving JSC to RG, maybe LG and move JB to RG but seems like a major reshuffle.

I'm pretty confident of a Bears win, but that line has me vexed.

I know the Bears beat the line last time they played the Lions, but the Lions have played two tough games since then, and look like a better team.

I think I'm just going to have to avoid betting on this game.

At this point, I'd probably rather see Williams, Buenning, Kreutz, Beekman, JSC from left to right. If you are gonna completely overhaul the line, that's what it should be. Those are the best 5 linemen on the team right now.

So much for health. Tillman, Vasher, Manning, Booker, Lloyd and Hillenmeyer had limited practice. Tommie Harris missed practice yesterday. If I had a guess though, I'd say Hillenmeyer, Lloyd and Manning miss the game. Harris is supposed to have a full practice today. And my guess is Tillman will be fine for full duty and can go on Sunday. I'll assume Vasher will be eased back, in a non-starting role, and get about 20-25 plays at CB.

It's a hand though, isn't it? I could see the point in easing him back if he had a hammy or other leg issue, but with the hand, he's either ready to go or he's not.

And seeing as its Vasher, more than likely he won't be

It's funny how they've looked better since winnowing out Kitna and Williams. I won't consider this thing to be in the bag unless we get out to a very substantial lead.

Wrist. And I thought it was a ligament thing? That's why I said eased in. But another reason to ease him in is that Graham has been better.

I don't. At all.

Rex still may have more ability, but Kyle has become the better QB.

No kidding. Maybe it's because I never wanted him drafted, but it wasn't that hard for me to get over the Rex era coming to a close. Same thing with Benson.
