I'd just like to say that I hope Dallas sends Romo out Sunday. That's equivalent to Yost letting Gallardo stay in the game after he obviously screwed up his knee. They have a good enough team to at the very least make the playoffs, it would be dumb beyond cognition to let him play.

Oh yeah, Philip Rivers for MVP. Glad all that "he's only a byproduct of LT" talk is over and done with. Of course you'd never know from the mass media that he's the best QB in the league right now because his last name isn't Manning or Romo. Or Favre.

PS - Chad Pennington is currently the 6th in QB rating right now

Drew Brees is the best QB in the league right now.

Rivers has more yards per pass attempt, more touchdowns, and less interceptions.

How is Brees better?

Brees basically matches Rivers in everything. Brees has more yards. Brees has done all this without Colston and Shockey. Rivers still has LT, Gates, Chambers, Jackson around him. Brees these past weeks had... David Patten, Billy Miller, and Lance Moore.

Brees has more yards because he's thrown the ball 60 more times. Plus, as stated by dew, the saints probably throw the ball downfield more often. LT has not been a weapon this year, he's averaged 3.7 ypc, he's been hurt. Chambers was out last week.

To be honest, I know little about the Saints receiving corps. But I do know that Reggie Bush has 361 yards receiving and I don't think those are post routes, I believe they are "drop the ball off to Reggie and see what happens" routes.

I'm not saying Brees is bad at all; I think he's one of the top QBs. But he hasn't been better than Rivers.

Ok lets me honest here. I don't really like Phillip Rivers. I think he is a D-Bag.

I knew that he was having a very good year, and then I looked it up to be sure and his numbers were even better then I thought. It basically killed every argument I had. (Besides the yards, and yes I know they the throw the ball 102402 times a game. I needed something tho).

However, I know LT has been hurt and struggling, that still is not making teams not try to stop him. He is still a threat to the defense. I guarentee teams still try to stop LT before they try to stop Rivers.

Again, I didn't realize he was having that good of a year, Im just saying I would still take Drew Brees right now.

It's OK. You think Carlos Lee for Podsednik was a good trade for the white sox. Rationality is only good but for so long. I look numbers up before I start shooting off at the mouth, maybe you should try it? Don't say a guy is a "D-Bag" (for what reason?) and he sucks without having any knowledge about the situation.

If the whole fantasy football world knows that LT is hurt and less productive, I'm fairly positive opposing NFL defensive coordinators know this as well and are factoring that into their game plan.

I'm not trying to be an ass, just don't try to make me look like an idiot without any support behind your statements. And the fact you'd still take Drew Brees is irrelevant. He's been the less productive QB this year.

2nd week in a row that Carolina has been in one of the most important/best matchups of the week, 2nd week in a row that no one will see it. Meanwhile Charlie Frye is on Sunday Night Football.

I should've just been a Niners or Cowboys fan like everybody else.

The Niners have been one of the sorriest teams in the NFL this decade and the Cowboys haven't won a playoff game since what, 1997?

Carolina isn't that bad.

I was just kiddingly referring to Carolina's (and for the most part, the NFC South's) complete lack of television exposure. There's been little wrong with their actual results as compared to everyone else since 1995.

And yeah, SF is not on TV much either - but when I was a kid everyone was an SF or Dallas fan, hence the remark.

For the first time this year, the Cowboys play opposite the Saints so I'm going to have to watch this one from Hooters. Too bad my favorite Sunday afternoon Hooter girl doesn't work there any more. I guess I'll just have to make a new friend.

I normally find a pair of friends when I go to Hooters

Great, I get Jets - Raiders :| and Colts - Packers is only west by a bit. Awful week of games on tv for me. No games I'm interested or games with any of my fantasy players.

HAHA ok dude, you also said Rivers should be the MVP, what does that say?

To say I don't know any stats is a pretty poor judgment on your part. Im not trying to make you look like a idiot. You want a stat? Ok here..

Comp. %

Drew Brees - 71.0

Philip Rivers - 61.8

Brees basically matches every single stat Rivers can throw out..

TD's

Rivers - 14

Brees - 12

Y/A

Rivers - 9.0

Brees - 8.9

QB Rating

Rivers - 109.4

Brees - 105.0

YPG

Brees - 333.2

Rivers - 248.2

Teams don't try to stop Rivers like they do Drew Brees. And if you honestly think that teams go at Brees like they do Rivers you are joking yourself.

Brees has no running game, every team they play know that Brees is going to be throwing the ball. And they still can't stop him. Rivers still can turn around and hand it off to LT, I know he has been hurt but again, teams still load up the box to stop him. Brees also has been putting up these numbers with one of the best WR in the league and without Shockey. So for you to say Brees has been a less productive QB this year is pretty funny. Everyone who is not a Charger fan would agree.

And how is Rivers a D-Bag? How is he not a D-Bag should of been the question. Arguing with Colt fans, yelling at Jay Cutler. And he is cocky for a guy who has not done anything in the league.

Seriously weis. You don't know? The guy is an ass. He makes himself look like such an idiot mouthing off at every turn. I can't believe anyone would seriously argue Rivers *isn't* a D-Bag. He's so ridiculous it's like he's trying to take D-Bag to a whole new level.

I know this too because ESPN told me. I mean, Colin Cowherd wouldn't say it if it's not true, right?

Seriously though, the stuff he says to other players and to the crowd (which he claims he's not going to do anymore for what it's worth) is nothing that he couldn't say to his young daughters. It's been blown way out of proportion.

Meanwhile we have NFL players getting arrested for DUI, cocaine possession, firearms, and in connection to murders. It's OK though, elcaballa and others will go right on badmouthing that d bag Rivers because ESPN said so.

I changed my survivor pick to the Titans at the last minute to replace Tampa. I'll probably murder a small child if this costs me.

Like I said earlier, there's absolutely no reason the Titans should lose to the Chiefs today.

For that reason, though, I'm worried.

With all the turmoil surrounding the Cowboys along with all the injuries, I'm concerned about the Rams. If you told me three weeks ago that I'd be concerned about the Cowboys losing to the Rams, I would have laughed at you. I'm not laughing now.

Ditka and Keyshawn picked the Rams, for what it's worth.

From rotoworld:

The Vikings reportedly offered their first-round picks in 2009 and 2010 in exchange for Brady Quinn.

This comes from the Minneapolis Star-Tribune's Charley Walters, who isn't exactly a spot-on source. He doesn't say when the offer was made. Still, if the Browns passed on such an overwhelming trade it confirms their continued concern with Derek Anderson. Walters suggests that the Quinn deal could be resurrected after the season, or the Vikings could pursue Anderson.

Wow, that could have been a great deal for the Browns....

And for me. But clearly the Cleveland QB drama is not quite over yet if they're passing up a deal like that.

I struggle to believe the Browns would pass up this kind of deal, and that the Vikings would offer it.

The bolded makes me question this whole thing even more.
