well i'm going to bed. they aren't even trying anymore

When you have a lineup of Tyrus Thomas, Thabo Sefolosha, Aaron Gray, Lindsey Hunter, and Andres Nocioni in the game, things like that tend to happen.

You guys are just being unreasonable. The Eastern Conference is so much better therefore we should expect 50 point blowouts from Western Conference teams that are even younger than we are.

Nowhere did I say that this was acceptable tonight. But some of you are making it seem like it's the end of the world.

It's not the end of the world because we've got a bonafied superstar in the making. Imagine if we ended up wit the 9th pick like we were slotted to though?

We'd be gunning for Kornel David, Khalid El-Amin, Dalibor Bagaric, Dickey Simpkins, levels of putridity.

Dear Bulls;

You see what happens when you go extremely cheap on your coaching search? You see what happens when you put most of your eggs into the basket of one crappy roster? You have gotten burn. This roster, sans Rose, is an embarrassment.

Uh yeah. That was a pretty bad game. The defense has been Denver Nuggetty the last few games. The layup drill vs. the Lakers then the sleepwalking vs. the Blazers. Doesn't look like Vinny has coached defense at all this year. I'm not a fan of his offense either when Ben Gordon or Larry Hughes or Kirk Hinrich are running the offense and Derrick Rose is on the court with them.

I'm sick of writing off the west coast trip each year. When are we going to be able to say we'll be competitive during this stretch? It's a guaranteed losing streak, every damn year.

We went 3-3 one year (I think 05-06). That was mildly competitive.

I can't wait for a Bulls win so everyone can claim that this is the best Bulls team they've had in years and they're going to win it all.

Tonight was ridiculous, but it's one game. :pig:

I'm assuming you didn't see the game. The Bulls set basketball back 10 years with that performance.

I wish they set basketball 10 years back. Then they would be winning their sixth championship. I'd say they set it back about 6 years.

Man it really sucks playing portland. LeMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy, and Paxson the dope brought us Tyrus Thomas. While I won't harp on it too much, becaues I'm considering the "Butterfly Effect" that brougt us Rose, that draft just shows what poor judgement Paxson has and the sooner he is canned the better.

I just realized that there is only one Bulls and Hawks thread and someone just changed the title of it for every game. I was wondering how there could be 40 pages of pre-game talk on the Hawks.

When the Bulls and Hawks brass aren't more concerned about filling up the United Center with people watching the circus for two straight weeks.

But the Bulls championship teams didn't get burned like this. This trip just exposes a team for what is truly is - BAD.

Posted
Well, those Bulls championship teams were "one of a kind". This trip has even put the good Bulls teams of 2005 and 2006 behind the 8 ball. The thing needs to move to the AllState.

Actually, it is at Allstate for 2 weeks prior to moving to the UC for 2 weeks.

I'd rather have Aldridge, Hawes, and junk than Rose, Thomas, and Noah.

You're crazy. Rose >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Aldridge and Hawes.

What hurts is Roy, one of the most underrated players in the league IMO and All Star for many years to come. Lemarcus I see as a 17 10 guy long term, with one or two ASG appearances.

Hawes is crap and wll be hurt again in 3...2....

I understand why it is done. I just think it's a pretty good initial indicator of where we're at. Right now, we're being exposed. I'm not saying improvements won't be made -- although it doesn't look like a solid big man will materialize any time soon.

Yeah Aldridge and Hawes at best have potential to be maybe 7.5-8. Rose has the potential to be a 10. Hell, he's like an 8 now.

Is it really when, as UM noted, even the good Bulls teams struggled through it?

Don't forget the 0-9 team of 04-05 which, IMO, was the best of that whole bunch until Curry's heart thing. After that start they played great basketball for a long time.

Notice the operative word, "initial."

I don't really think it is when it's a trip that is likely to make most teams look worse than they really are. How is that a good indicator of anything at any time?
