that's where the controversy starts....let's say LSU and PSU go undefeated, but OU beats Mizzou in the Big12 game.....does OU beat out PSU for the NC spot?

They shouldn't.(and probably wouldn't) I don't think Penn State goes undefeated though. A 1 loss Big XII team wouldn't be a complete crime. A 1 loss SEC team over an undefeated PSU team would be criminal.

What's your reasoning behind this?

If they let ND get one more play and they score, there'll be riots in Chapel Hill.

looked like a completion, and the wr was down with 0:04 left to me

They are trying to help ND in every way.

Don't mistake incompetence with favoritism

my bad.

Because I think the Big XII is a better conference. I guess I'm viewing this solely from a Texas/OU side where they'd have a bunch of wins over great teams. Missouri with 1 loss wouldn't deserve it.

ND should have had a shot to win that one. The WR was down. The ball moved around because he was trying to lateral. He lateraled the ball after his head and shoulders hit the ground.

It didn't matter, the ball was moving as he was on top of the defender. Whether it was because he was trying to lateral or was fumbling, he still didn't have full possession. Game of inches for sure, if he waited til he was on the ground and threw it backwards, you have madness ensue, the play gets reviewed, ND sets up a play and maybe wins. I really don't like that play call though, you've gotta go end zone there.

It doesn't matter if Floyd was trying to lateral, the point is, the ball was clearly coming loose before he ever hit the ground. And if he was trying to lateral, WOW is he dumb, we still had five seconds left.

Should've had this one. That stupid throw by Jimmy to start the 2nd half killed the momentum.

There was five seconds when Floyd would've been down. ND would've had plenty of time to get another play off. Had Floyd not fumbled, ND would've had a decent shot. As it is, this team is still going to have that 'no wins on the road' cloud over their heads going to Washington in two weeks, which sucks.

I think the Big 12 is a better conference marginally, but I'm not sold on Tech, and I don't think that the resumes of LSU, Bama, Georgia, or Florida would be any weaker than those of OU or Texas if they get through the season and championship games with one loss.

Also, holy crap. Am I seeing this right? Does Arkansas have two receivers playing well IN THE SAME GAME? Childs has a big game...doesn't make a catch the next game. Adams has a big game...gets one catch the next game. Tonight, Childs has 3 catches for 61 yards, and Adams has 3 for 54 and a 6 yard touchdown pass. Arkansas would probably be winning if Dick would quit giving Auburn the ball.

Oh and Shonn Greene is an absolute beast. It's a shame we couldn't get out of our own way in the red zone and couldn't hold on to the ball in the last 3 games or he would be getting the press he deserves. Unfortunately we probably only will have one year with him.

Indiana was a bad team up front on both sides but it was nice to see us crush a Big Ten team for the first time in a while. Stanzi played really well in the second half.

lol, Greene will be back next year. He's good, but he's not 'one and done' good.

Holy crap. Arkansas has outgained Auburn...339 to 83.

EDIT: And there's an Arkansas interception. I think that's their third takeaway this season?

Auburn has 2 separate quarterbacks who are 3-9 passing tonight.

Aaaand Michael Smith just ran for a 63 yard touchdown to give Arkansas the lead. Of coruse, they failed the 2 point conversion.

Gotta say that, while I thought Smith would be good, I didn't see him being the 25-35 carry type AT ALL. He's been terriffic. Tonight he was averaging about 3.3 a carry until that gamebreaker.

Defense played decently, shut down Ringer, yet continuously shot themselves in the foot by giving Michigan State an average starting field position of the NU 49. And Hoyer did the rest.

What a kick in the nuts.

First of all, to laugh at it like it's outrageous is just wrong. There's plenty of speculation and the coaches believe it's a distinct possibility.

I'm not saying he's a sure fire first-round pick. But he's the best back in the Big Ten this year (yes better than Ringer) and has been one of the 3-4 most productive in the country. He's 3rd nationally in yardage and has the most yards per carry of any back in the country with over 100 carries. He's one of two backs in the country who have had 100 yards in every game this year.

The guy is 23 years old already, obviously isn't an academic scholar and running backs have a short shelf life. If he's projected to go inside of the 4th round, it would make sense for him to leave. And as far as NFL scouts wanting to see more than 1 year of a guy, that's not all that true at RB.

Anybody know why the Wisconsin band was suspended?

I keep hearing that they were suspended last week (or so), but I've never heard why.

Same stuff they always do, namely alcohol-fueled inappropriate sexual misconduct. This occurrence wasn't nearly the entire band, but they have a long tradition of it.

They're lucky it hasn't happened more often.
