Miami beats SD. The Chargers are now 2-3.

:stickman: :stickman:

I've developed a fairly healthy dislike for that team. Having an unapologetic juicer on your defense and the biggest blowhard in the league as a QB doesn't help.

Who would have thought that the Bears/Falcons game would have been a matchup between 3-2 teams?

This suddenly becomes a tough game, especially with it being in the Georgia Dome.

Since this is all I have to live for in sports anymore, someone start up next weeks game thread

bring it.

michael turner rushes for 125 yards and 2 TDs, norwood breaks off a 54 yard TD run, while matt ryan goes 13-25 for 213 yards and 3 INT.

Falcons win 24-17

I only had the game on the radio, but it sounds like the Bears did what a serious division contender needed to do: take care of business against a crappy team.

So, kudos.

And let's keep it going!

Turner will not run for 125 yrds. The Bears run D is superb. You better hope Matt Ryan can beat the Bears, because it wont be the run game that wins the game for the Falcons.

Orton did not consistently underthrow receivers downfield. that was very nice.

I couldn't believe my eyes. But even the average Bear receivers were getting plenty of separation which made the throws easier. But still, Kyle has been throwing he ball much better lately. Nice work Kyle.

Roy Williams is a terrible teammate.

Yep ole Roy was a real douche out there today. That is where the head coach needs to come over to the guy and just tell him to shut his trap......in colorful language.

I don't think I'm ready to say they're definitively good yet. They might be good, but what we really learned today is that Detroit is the NFC blood-brother of the Raiders in terms of the level of disarray and poor management going on with their football team. The Bears were just there to take advantage of it like many other NFL teams would be.

A Marinelli firing should be coming soon, although I'm not sure that will really solve anything since it appears their ownership is simply horrible. And it's those very owners who will now be charged with hiring the next wave of people to try to turn around the team.....AGAIN.

Just got home from the game with a growler of IPA to drink from the Detroit brewing company. I made my lady wear a bears t shirt today, and we caught plenty of grief, but had a WONDERFUL time! Great day! The Bears looked like contenders today, even if against the pathetic Lions!

oh, they're good. and they'll beat the falcons easily, i feel fairly certain that turner won't be over 100 yards, but matt ryan will throw a couple of picks.

the falcons just aren't that good yet. they'll be overwhelmed by the bears' defense.

I mean there's good reason for optimism but this is the Lions. Next week isn't much better. Beating the Falcons won't really mean all that much either.

The Eagles win was the one that gives me some hope, because even though Westbrook was out, it's still a well-coached ballclub with a pretty good QB and a solid D.

I can see the Bears winning the division. In the playoffs, I don't see them doing anything.

Which will result in a crappy 1st round pick which no doubt gets wasted on either a soon to be injured O-lineman or a bleh QB.

If it's going to be a bust, I'd rather have 20th pick in the draft than a top 10 pick with all the money that requires.

There should be a few nice OL and WR around 20, anyways.
