I like to check out the Brewer.net game thread to see if they are whinning...In some cases, yes they are...

A few Brewers fans are whining, but - for the most part - they seem reasonable:

Cubs sitting EVERYONE tonight.

That's right - nearly all of their regulars have been given a seat tonight. That includes Soriano, Lee, Ramirez, DeRosa, and Soto. I'm sure that also means Harden won't be pitching long (definitely don't blame them if they're careful with him).

I know there are different philosophies in all of the major sports heading into the post-season, but I personally don't think its a sound strategy to rest all of your players before the biggest games of the season. I suppose they've earned that right though, sigh... If Piniella is only giving these guys one day off, I think it sucks that he is choosing one game in which to do so. I'm one of those people - and this is just my humble opinion - that believe that teams have some responsibility to field a competitive team when they've already locked up a playoff birth but that's just me. Lets see what they do against the Brewers...

Yes, I've seen a few reasonable posts too, but on the other hand, the Cubs have already won 2 of the first 3, they have held up their end of being "competitive". One day off for everyone is not a sign of any disrespect of the game, which a few have suggested.

You know, for how consistently well this team has played this year, with really only one bad stretch to speak of, I can't believe that it will be nearly impossible to pull off 100 wins. Makes me really respect how hard it is to do that. And for the teams that did it with some consistency (Braves of the 1990s - early 2000s, As of the late 70s), I have to respect that accomplishment even more.

Seeing that play at the plate about 7 times in the last minute on NY feed, I can only say that Koyie sucks ... not a big deal, but he's very minor league.

His at bat in the ninth was similarly brutal

I'ma gonna swing at balls in the dirt! Woohoo

Let 'em whine. It's not our fault that the absolute worst line up we could throw at the Mets tonight has scored 5 more runs than Milwaukee's best line up has been able to score against Zach Duke.

We'd have a much better shot if we were playing a full 162.

EDIT - and if we didn't forget how to win for 10 days in September.

Reyes celebrating like he just won the World Series with that hit.

Yea, he passed Miguel Cabrera on my "most obnoxious players" list for the crown

No way the Mets don't win this one though, our pen outside of Marmol and Wood is pretty brutal.

nope. he merely clapped...it wasn't that big a deal

He started clapping immediately after he hit it, and turned and yelled into the dugout while he was running to first, then pumped his fist again when he got there.

I don't mind that he did it....this is a big situation for them, just a commentary.

Yeah, sorry Brew fans. No way Lou puts Marmol or Woody in this one, with the wet mound, grass, etc. I could see Hank White warming up before either of those two.

They didn't win last night under similar conditions.

I realize we used Wood, but that was after a 3 run lead was had
