That replay of hilling completely missing Church at home makes me laugh every time I see it. So glad these games don't matter right now.

Why not send him earlier in the count? Makes little sense. Even with the wet track, Reyes was getting huge jumps on Hart.

That's what I was saying...the percentages were probably better for him to steal when it was a 2-0 count

Yeah thats the first time I saw that. That would have been crushing. As it is, Hill deserves a playoff share for helping keeping Howry off the playoff roster.

Lee would have had that.

We'll see about Howry.

I'd take Hoffpauir over Ward.

DLee picks that.

It's been a long time since he had 2 hr in a single game.

I'm just saying he makes the play. In no way was that a commentary about Hoffpauir's night.

I guess none of these wins matter, but I'm hoping to see #97 so at least I can watch a team with more wins than any in my lifetime enter the playoffs. Totally arbitrary, but I guess there is still something to that for me.

wow congrats mets you managed a split against the cubs backups and AAA players... what a great team.

It was so amusing seeing them jump and down on the mound, like they won the world series.

It was almost cute.

Not to mention the 'double' by Church in the 4th was a play Lee probably makes as well

Seriously? Give them a break. They're tied for the final playoff spot and just had a walkoff win.

yeah i'm not begrudging them for celebrating, but i was listening to the game on WFAN and the guy was talking about how the mets have hung in there and come back after falling behind, and he was building up all the drama.... it's just hard to take seriously when they're barely beating a team that's not trying to win.

I know this loss doesn't mean anything, but it would have been sweet to pay back the Mets for 2004 with Micah Hoffpauir. Also, we don't have a chance at 100 wins now. :(

Man, this is probably the worst I've felt over a meaningless loss.

Relax chum, on the bright side the Mets will claw and gnash to get in, and the Brewers will calmly disembowel our B team and then promptly get squashed
