Underthrows are great if you have a WR who can take advantage of them and it's part of the repertoire. I highly doubt that was the plan there. It was just a bad throw. And it's not a difficult throw either. As long as we have a QB who can't put that one on the money, we're not going to have a very good offense. That's the long & short of it for me. The guy got lucky on the INT. A good throw and he can't get lucky.

What about the fact that it was still an easy touchdown catch? I didn't say that the plan was for it to be underthrown. All I said was that it's not a big deal in that situation if it is.

That was pretty bad for Orton, but a lot of that was on the O-line yet again.

I feel better, I knew that the O-line would be bad, and that this is the reason the Bears would be bad in 2008. The O-line is bad, and the Bears season is going downhill. Go Cubs!

You seem to want to apply a WR's skillset to a RB. He didn't leap for the ball and catch it like Terrel Owens because that's not his, ehem, Forte. Orton's job is to put that ball on the money, and he failed as usual.

Bottom line, that play was more Orton's fault than Forte's. That's my story, and I'm not changing it.

Orton's junk Jon. You know this.

Why does my computer say INT for G. Adams? And why does it say he ran with it 49 yards?

Rex Grossman is a better QB than Kyle Orton. Fact.

Really? You don't think Grossman would have 2 INTs while hes running all around the field because the O-line is awful?

Do any of our WRs have any receptions yet?

I don't recall any. I've gotta believe that's because they suck and can't get open.

Davis had a short reception.

If the Bears don't score to end this half, their offense would have produced 6 points in the last 6 quarters on Drives of more than 25 yards.

Last week:

7 points on a blocked punt

7 points after an INT was returned to the 25

3 points on a long scoring drive

This week:

3 points after the D handed them the ball at the 15 yard line and they go 0 yards and kick a FG

3 points after a long scoring drive

This has nothing to do with Orton being the right QB for the Bears. I have no desire to see Orton play over Grossman. My point was that the individual play was not nearly as bad as others made it out to be. Forte didn't have to jump or do anything special to catch the ball. He just needed to catch it with his hands and not with his chest. It's not a special skill. If Forte had done his job, it's a TD.

What a fake!
