Did any of you hear Vasher's comments? What a [expletive].

"We weren't going to take any mess," Vasher said. "Peanut's a physical player. Our defense, nobody's going to let anybody push another player around, that's the bottom line."

Yeah dumbass. And where did that get you? Oh and by the way, good job getting beat like a ragdoll by a midline receiver to set up the losing field goal.

Anyone else just about ready to be done with Vasher? He's sucked all year. How many more weeks does he get pass because he's "coming back from injury?" The man can't cover, and he can't catch anymore either. Right now, he's pretty much a complete and total liability.

Oh yeah. Vasher is overrated. He's a terrible tackler as well.

I guess Graham would probably be next in line, and I don't really know how good he'd be.

A lot of people think he's better than Tillman cause he gets all the interceptions, but what people don't realize is

1. He can't tackle

2. He is always in the right place at the right time. There like always ball hit into the air and he just happens to be right by it.

Tillman is so much better than him. He is one of the best tacklers on the entire team

I am a Graham fan but I don't think he can come close to replicating Vasher's success of past seasons.

Trumaine McBride would probably be ahead of Graham on the depth chart. Maybe Danieal Manning if they want him at corner.

You guys really expect Harris or Vasher to come out to the media and say "Tillman did something stupid and it cost us the game"? Really?

Well, look at what Urlacher said. That's a much better way to handle it.

I expect them to not defend and excuse the actions. The Bears have shot themselves in the foot with personal foul penalties throughout the Lovie era (or maybe more appropriately, the Kreutz era). I would be upset with them if they said Tillman cost the game, but they can acknowledge it was a mistake that shouldn't happen, while at the same time accepting responsibility for the loss across the board.

Everybody said the defense was good enough to win games if the offense was just average, and the offense was more or less fine.

The yards and points were more than adequate, but let's not ignore the scoring opportunites they failed to capitalize on in the 1st half.

I'm not. They definitely should have done more. But a team that pretty much ignored offense and spent all their money on defense needs to get a better showing from that defense.

He probably is the best tackler on the team besides Urlacher. And he's easily one of the best tackling CB's in the league.

This year he's shown a decline. And I think what rchap was referring to wasn't tackling per se, but the fact that Vash has been juked by several runners and made to look really bad in open field tackle situations. He's probably wrapped up pretty good when he's had the chance.

You're saying Vasher is on the best tackling CB's in the league? No way. He's atrocious. I've seen him miss tackles the past 3 years.

He's talking about Tillman.

Ok that makes sense. Yeah Tillman made a costly boneheaded play but he's still a top corner in this league.

Personally, I think the defense should have worried more about their conditioning in the offseason instead of their contract status.

Maybe if they weren't pre-counting their millions they wouldn't have been dragging ass in the 3rd and 4th.
