Sup Mr. Torres, how's that prediction coming?

Cut the guy some slack; he simply forgot to add "in April 2009".

Brewers need to turn it around and like NOW, so FatPrince needs a pitcher to bowl over again; to light that spark in the dugout.

I mistakenly read this sentence as you trying to say that Prince Fielder needs to smoke some pot.

I just read it again, and it still sounds that way. :dizzy:

Someone tell him to say "The Cubs won't win the World Series"

Someone tell him to say "Im guna enjoy the offseason without making the postseason again after choking"

Chicago - A couple of weeks ago, when the Brewers weren't that far into the September swoon that is ruining their season, closer Salomon Torres predicted the team not only would make the playoffs but would catch the Cubs for the NL Central title.

How bad does that look now?

Torres was at the center of the Brewers' worst defeat of the season this afternoon at Wrigley Field, an unthinkable 7-6, 12-inning loss that just might have served as the dagger to the team's fading playoff hopes.

With two outs and nobody on base, Torres was unable to protect a four-run lead, eventually serving up a game-tying, three-run homer to Geovany Soto that electrified Chicago fans and lowered the Cubs' magic number for clinching the division to two.

Reminded of his prediction that the Brewers would catch the Cubs, Torres could only smile ruefully.

"Sometimes you say things to try to fuel your team or the city or whatever," said Torres. "At that time, it wasn't a bold prediction. We were right there."

Another gem from Torres-

"I take full responsibility for what happened," Torres said. "I wish I could go back and do that over again. I guarantee you I get him out, but it's not possible.

Really Torres? You guarantee it? What a dumbass.

I think it's a sin to try and change anything Soto does.

Well, to be fair to Torres, he would keep going back and doing it over and over and over until he got him out.

So technically, he's right.

And technically, he's a dope.
