I get the Dolphins game! I'm probably the only person in Chicago happy about that...other than the people that want to see Favre as a Jet.

Did I know you were a Dolphins fan? I remember there being another one here, but I don't know if it was you or another guy.

I'm excited to see what kind of improvement Vince makes this year with an extra weapon or two and a better offensive coordinator (Mike Heimerdinger).

The running game should be excellent again with LenDale, Chris Johnson and a little Chris Henry but I'm still worried about the receivers. A lot of decent guys with no go-to receiver is not an ideal situation, but I think adding Alge will help things a decent amount.

The defense will be very stout again, I just hope Kearse can stay healthy this year (not placing any bets).

I think this team can win 9-10 games and slip into the backend of the playoffs. If a receiver really surprises and becomes a go-to threat and Vince makes some nice strides I could see us reaching 11 wins at most.

Gah, way to kill any hope at all for the Chiefs by putting them up against the Pats on week 1. I will be crying all Sunday.

I just got to Peter King's MMQB today, and I found this entry odd:

7. I think there's been far, far, far too much debate on whether teams winning the pre-game coin flip will defer their decision to the start of the second half. Can we give it a rest please? Someone asks Belichick about it twice a week. I'll be shocked if a team's choice to receive the kickoff to start the first half or second half determines the outcome of a single game all season. Think about it. A team that wins the flip and decides to take the ball at the start of the third quarter will get the same number of possessions as one that wins the flip and decides to take the ball at the start of the first quarter.

Has this really been a story? I may not have followed all the NFL preseason talk as much as I have in the past, but I have not heard a single mention of this story. How has it gotten to the point where King is saying, "enough already".

Also, he complains that a veteran who was turned down for the hall 5 years ago is back on a ballot "so soon". How the heck is 5 years not enough time to bring a name back up? He started the article getting all pissy about Warren Sapp saying the Inside the NFL was stale, boring and just "sat there expecting people to watch it." King defended the show he worked on by saying it won emmies. Joe Freaking Morgon has won an emmy or two. That is by no means a good indicator of whether or not a show has gotten boring. I know that a decade ago I'd watch it somewhat regularly. But I hadn't seen more than a minute or two of Inside the NFL in several years. I don't need hip or flashy or more Fox/ESPN hype, but the HBO show never really did it for me.

haha...it just wouldn't be the football season if goony wasn't getting pissed-off by Peter King.

And, yeah...it was pretty bad. I haven't heard anything about his supposed "enough already" story about teams deffering to the second half.

I don't even have to look at the map to know I'm getting the Bengals and Browns :(

cowboys @ browns is a game that most of the country will be getting, and it should be a good game. i guess if you would prefer carolina at san diego or arizona at san francisco, you'll have to head to the bar to catch them.

Giants are looking pretty good or the Redskins suck...take this one whatever way you wish.

maybe both

It has to be both, but the Giants look pretty darn good. The O-line is doing great and Eli looks very comfortable.

Can anyone find a wallpaper sized image of this?

Favre with a TD in the first quarter... great I can't watch or listen to any sports news for the next week because it's all I'll hear about.

On a positive note... Brady is hurt (not seriously) but I do hope he misses a few games.

For what we care about (only not really)... The Falcons are completely destroying the Lions... Turner with a nice 66 yard run. 21-0 in the start of the 2nd.

Favre throws a ball randomly into the air on 4th and 13 and somehow gets another touchdown.

Jets kicker got hurt and the Jets are FORCED to go for 2.

Should be at least 17-7, but Nugent hurt his leg on a field goal attempt.

Favre looks decent so far.
