Yep Cubs have given up

Whoops.

:rotfl:

dexter really needs to take zoloft or something.

True fact, I have taken Xanax to deal with at least 1 painful loss this year. I think it was that last TB game when Marmol and Eyre imploded.

Got home from a football draft in time to see Theriot's AB. Absolutely freaking fantastic.

Driving to Chicago tonight and going to game tomorrow. Sure would like to be looking at a 7-game winning streak!

I hate when the fall semester starts and I miss Cubs games.

If the Cubs go to the WS, I'm skipping classes and work for a week no matter the consequences.

If the Cubs go to the WS, I am skipping classes, taking off work and flying 1200 miles just to stand outside Wrigley so I can feel closer to it.

Yep. If the WS is on the north side this year, I'll be standing out on Waveland for the games.

Definitely. I'll basically camp down there for the series.

I've already got the time off of work. Me and a buddy will be flying from Dallas.

I didn't like the way Dempster was looking from the start, and didn't like that Lou seemed to stick with him well beyond what would have been acceptable. Every pitch he throws at this point is virgin territory, I really wish they'd be a little more careful with him, and was hoping they'd take him out as soon as the 6th got hairy. Let Marshall face those lefties there.

Thursday Sept. 4th and 8th are off days. Hopefully Lou gives the rotation a rest. They can all use an extra day or two of rest.. Edited by C.C.

I think for some reason Lou didn't want Marshall to face Burrell. He wasn't even up in the pen until after the Ruiz hit, and the Hamels/Rollins ABs were so quick, he wouldn't have been ready to go until the Utley AB. At that point, it would appear Lou decided he'd stick with Demp through Burrell, and then go to Marshall if the inning was still going after that.

I was thinking you walk Burrell there if that was the issue. I really just didn't like seeing the already pushed beyond expected levels Dempster pushed in that game.

I also don't like seeing Phillies batters at the plate against Cubs pitchers.

It baffles me when this happens. Did haubrich forget that there was a game today?

Maybe he turned the game off in disgust in the 7th last night and has been hanging out under a highway overpass ever since.

Maybe?

I could give it a go with a spot start. Haven't done one since 2005. I'm the Mark Prior of game thread starters.

It's up guys. Sorry, I was at the game last night and went to my friends house right after with no internet access.

That was one of the most amazing games I've been to in my life.
