Gotta love DeRosa... he gave props to everybody but himself in the postgame interview.

 

Its how this team rolls. Yesterday after Aram has 6 rbis during his interview all he talked bout was Demp. Then Demp after the game says he doesnt care if he is stuck on 15 wins the rest of year, as long as they win the Series. This team is just a really likeable team

I'm late to the party, but Rich Harden is the man! 11 more strike outs?! Wow, the Cubs are 30 games over .500 and own the best record in baseball. This is the best Cubs team I've ever seen.

 

Oh yeah, the Cubs are 15-6 in August with 7 games remaining. They could win 20 or more games this month. Amazing. :shock: :)

IMHO, Rich Harden has better stuff than CC Sabathia. The only thing CC seems to have on him is durability, and when you have a solid pen, its OK if he only gos 6-7 innings instead of a 600 pitch complete game everytime out.

On Cubs.com they have some video of it. He was getting a great reception. It was right up there with Pie and Ward's homers this year in terms of making me happy for the guy as much as for the team.

 

I hope he can keep that up. Even if he can get back to decent, it'll really give the Cubs a shot in the arm.

That's the scary thing about the Cubs, is that the whole offense isn't clicking together. It's either Soriano carrying the team for about a week, then DeRo, or Edmonds, or ARam...etc, etc. If this offense clicks together, it's over.

That would be a very good thing! We need to rack up those wins vs the "cupcakes", as the last 2 weeks of the season, we gotta run the gauntlet.

I know, it's scary to think of what this team could do when firing on all pistons. That's actually what makes me really optimistic about the playoffs. Even an off performance in one facet of the game won't shut down this team. It's also what makes a 2004 style collapse even less likely.

I had 6 row behind the Cubs batting circle and Harden is just a beast! It's amazing the power he generates from such a small frame. The dude looks tiny compared to Marmol and The Shark. What a great game and I'm so freaking hung over!
