Was it a true steal of home?

Lee was stealing 2nd, the catcher threw it to 2nd and Soriano broke for home as soon as the ball left the catcher's hand.

Did they still try to tag Lee, or did they just throw back home to try to get Sori?

They didn't have a play on Lee. As soon as the infielder got the ball, he threw it back to the plate, but Soriano beat the throw to score.

ATTN: Lou, please stop it with this creative baserunning crap. It got two of our better hitters who rarely strike out to strike out and its just stupid and playing craps with a pitcher we should clobber regardless.

Don't do it. Don't do it in the playoffs. Stop it.

Lee running had nothing to do with Ramirez striking out. What are you talking about?

This may be true, but was the Theriot K on a hit and run? I didn't see what that was all about.

Regardless I'm not a fan of running with our roster very much.

This should be a very, veryinteresting game. Marquis must really screw up badly to lose this one.

Should I be guilty for liking watching Marquis pitch?

If he could harness it and throw strikes he has good stuff but he does some pretty frustrating to watch nibbling crap when he gets two strikes on a guy.

They just threw back home. Whoever caught the ball did so a couple feet in front of the bag.

I may not be for running a lot against good catchers but I've never heard of this catcher and Soriano got there safely and I bet Lee would've been safe had the SS waited on the ball to get there if there was no one on 3rd going home. So I'm alright with it today.

That's what I like about the Cubs when they do run, they don't seem to try to do it against good catchers. They do it against guys who they can be successful against.

Is it wrong that I feel more comfortable with Marquis pitching than with Z right now?

Yes its very wrong.

This is by far Z's worst stretch of the season, and in his last 4 starts Marquis has given up 15 runs, while Zambrano has given up 16.

Yes. And very strange too.

Strange that I'm pretty bothered by the fact that our second best starting pitcher has seemingly forgotten how to throw strikes?
