Looks like this game will be decided by a wild pitch, a lack of communication in the outfield, and of course, a complete lack of offense.

It had nothing to do with communication. It was a lack of hustle by Soriano. It wouldn't have been an easy play for him, but at least he could have given himself a chance.

I know the stats won't back me up here, but I can honestly say that when I see Fukudome come up in key situations, I groan loudly.

 

He did have that big 2-run single last night, but in all honesty, if the pitcher showed any kind of defense, that was an out if not a DP.

Me too, it's pretty clear that he is not a good hitter. His supporters on this site have dwindled down to a handful.

This Cubs team is one big offensive inning and nothing else.

 

If they can't put up a crooked number in any one inning in a game, hello 0-1-2 runs in said game.

 

Not a large sample size, but Sunday @ Florida; 1 run until the 7th, score 8 and win 9-2. Last night vs Reds, 1-0 for a large part of the game and score 4 at the end to win 5-0. And there's lots more of those games to reference if spent the time to research.
