Please don't tell me it's going to be as difficult to get to 30 over as it was to get to 20 over. Let's not take 6 tries to do it, please?

IIRC, they got to 20 over quite frequently, it was getting to 21 over that was difficult.

I know teams are bound to lose some games they shouldn't from time to time... but we really should have went 6-0 this week. I mean for frack's sake, StL went into Cincy last week and took 2 of 3 if not swept these soapdroppers!

They took 2 of 3 just like we have a very good chance of doing.

Is anybody else worried about the offense mailing it in like this in the playoffs? This offense has good, but they have the ability to be completely shut down on any given night. I know that happens with all teams, but it seems to happen a lot with this team. Feast or famine.

Arroyo has shut down some good offenses on the year, allowing two runs through 8 vs the Mets and 2 runs through 6 against the Brewers. He is still capable of pitching good games and did so tonight. It happens in baseball sometimes. I wish people would calm down when we are a 29 over .500 team and we are still only down 1 in a game in the 8th.

I can't help but feel that arroyo didn't pitch that well tonight but just benefitted from a jumpy, impatient cubs offense today

That is something I'm definitely worried about or if they mail it in a few two many times in September it will cost us the division with the teams we play. I don't know what it is with this team sometimes it's like they don't have bats up their or don't know how to take pitches which worked so well for them all year.

McClellands' zone sure didn't help.

here come the Rays against K-Rod

unreal

I said on Opening Day that team was going places this year, but I didn't think they'd be THIS good. Yikes.

Not a shocker, though. All those horrible years led to a pretty stacked farm.

Absolutely.

K-Rod hasn't really been that great this season. Not even a top 5 reliever.

He finds a way to get a lot of saves, nevertheless

Thank you Mark
