I think Ted def did that on purpose.

Yeah, he got him right in the ribs. I think he did it on purpose. Braves radio speculates that the Cubs hit Escobar because he's buddies with Bueno in Cuba and since that guy go sent down, Escobar was the next best thing... Not to mention that ball he riffled back at Lilly earlier.

I thought Bueno was suspended?

I tune in to hear Pat talking about a warning to both benches, what the hell happened?

Lilly hit Escobar in the ribs, Escobar decided to be a jerk and point out there, both benches cleared but everyone just stood around, and then after he stopped crying he took 1st base.

Funny thing is I wouldn't be remotely surprised if Lilly made the decision to throw at Escobar by himself.

hopefully he told Escobar... "ask Edgar Renteria why that happened"

Ward even gets an RBI.

OK ladies & gentlemen, here comes Soriano, the favorite target of classless loser teams everywhere.

This is odd...

I'm listening on my cheap little $5 walkman. WGN is full of static and is coming in poorly, but I can hear Marty Brenneman in the background over Pat Hughes announcing the Reds game, and that's coming in clear as a bell.

Weird.

My God when this team starts scoring runs it's beautiful.

WE SCORED 11 AGAIN TONIGHT!

Can anyone even believe how prolific this offense is? I mean seriously, take a step back and look at the big picture. This is ridiculously awesome.

Thanks, I still maintain that Cox is one the Cubs should be throwing at although, throwing a ball into the dugout would be very strange.

Last time the Cubs won 8 in a row on the road?

1945.

I refuse to believe that statistic.

Straight from the mouth of Pat Hughes.

I just can't believe that the Cubs in the last 63 years have been unable to win 8 in a row on the road. I mean I know the Cubs haven't had the best teams, but wow.

Kaplan said in CTL that it was 1908, so who knows.

Yeah, the braves announcers showed a clip of Escobar's earlier hit and were basically insinuating that Lilly was pissed that Escobar hit a ball up the middle. Absolutely idiotic.

I'm on 720, and it slowly fades in. I just adjusted it now, and I can hear Pat and Ron, but in about a few minutes, I'm going to hear Marty again until his voice overtakes Pat's and I'll have to fidget with the tuner knob again.
