Is Brignac still a can't miss ss prospect? I thought he was a priced piece in the Rays system.

He's not as highly rated as he was two years ago at this time, but going into the year he was a top 50 overall prospect. He hasn't hit as well as you'd hope at AAA, but he's still a very interesting prospect given he has the offensive ceiling of a 3B at SS.

2007 and 2008 have taken a little luster off, but it's not like he hit poorly for a SS, and he's still only 22.

Thanks, I know the Rays are loaded on prospects. Would it be safe to assume that they are pitching loaded? I know of Price and Hellickson.

Well, they had some quality bats but Delmon Young got traded and Evan Longoria graduated to the bigs. They were always deeper with arms (Price, Hellickson, Davis, McGee, Niemann).

I don't know how reliable the ChicagoSports "From The Cubicle" information is, but apparently Bob Howry was seen fist-bumping the other guys in the bullpen, which could indicate that he has been traded?

If nothing else, the thought of Howry fist-bumping anybody is pretty funny to me.

Yep, TB has stockpiled arms for this very occasion.

Could it be that Howry just had Edmonds in the "Which Cub Will Hit a Homer" pool for today?

Maybe he just heard about how well Woody's sim game went?

Or he has Griffey on his fantasy team?

Desmond Jennings and Tim Beckham say hello.
