i love it, nibble until you have to throw a strike. why can't guys throw tough but hittable pitches on 0-2 and 1-2? throwing the 2 garbage balls that 95% of the league will never swing at is one of my biggest pet peeves in baseball.

primarily to raise my pitchcount so i can't get out of the 5th- every pitcher

Was it the horrible strike that he took for the first pitch or was it the pitch at his eyes he didn't actually swing at?

 

Dude we get it the ump is inconsistent. He still swung at an awful pitch on 0-1 and he went on the last pitch.

The second pitch wasn't a whole lot worse than the first, so one could assume he was swinging because if he didnt it would be called strike 2 anyway. Furthermore, I dont think he swung at that last strike.

 

Even WITH that bad swing, however, he STILL should have walked. You can make a bad swing in an at bat and get away with it, he should have.

 

What are you talking about? The second pitch ended up in the dirt and further away. Why don't you think he swung at the last one? He didn't argue, the home plate ump called it. He went.

 

What was he going to do? Stand there and swear at him in japanese?

 

Really? Because he's never stood there and disputed a pitch all year, right?

 

He went and it really wasn't that close.

How the hell can you name your clutch performer in the fifth inning of a tie game?

 

Maybe because when he touched home he acted like he won the game.

What's Gallagher's FB/GB ratio today? Gotta be like 11-2 or something.

 

I can't even remember a ground out by the CHW

 

Cabrera grounded out 5-3 in the first & Quentin grounded out 6-3 in the 2nd
