Lou has already said that Patterson is going to get a start in this game after what he did today.

I'd probably go with the same lineup, but add Derosa at 2B and behind Soto in the order.

I was thinking the same thing last night. I was planning to go look at the numbers before I posted, and then forgot. It probably will be exactly what you said. The only possible change I see is switching Patterson and Theriot, but I think Lou will keep those two in the same spot, and I think that's wise for today.

Bulletin board material:

Vazquez has made three starts against the Cubs as a member of the White Sox, recording a 4.95 ERA without a decision. He has allowed 10 runs in 13 innings in his last two starts at Wrigley, but isn’t concerned about the Cubs lineup.

“You should go to the American League and you’ll see more potent lineups,” he told the White Sox’s official Web site.

Can't wait until Vazquez gives up 6 runs in 4 innings.

Geez, the White Sox are such an embarrassment. Talk, talk, talk. I've never seen a team do so much of it for a regular season series.

I hope the Cubs beat the hell out of the White Sox today and don't say anything negative about the Sox to the media afterwards. I still have nothing against the White Sox, being out of town. But good god I can see why Chicagoan Cub fans do.

Yeah, I never noticed it before, but since I moved to Chicago it's ridiculous. The White Sox and their fans are idiots.

You never noticed it before moving here because absolutely nobody pays attention to the WS outside of the little coverage they get here.

Vasquez is pretty hittable. In 15 starts, he's given up 7 or more hits 7 times. He has a 7.27 ERA in 3 starts this month with 7 BBs, in 17 innings (he walked 7 in 6 starts, 40 IP in May). He's starting to give up the longball. Lefties have killed him. Vasquez is a guy you can get to early, but he does go deep into games. Not really a guy that's prone to get blown out of the game like Contreras yesterday, but if the Cubs can get a few early, Vasquez should be ripe for the picking (apart) the 3rd time through the lineup.

Dempster should have success against the Sox. They Sox had trouble vs. Aaron Cook....on a bad day for him. I think if Dempster gets the groundball going tonight, the Cubs could win by a pretty decent margin and complete the sweep.

Hasn't even won a game vs the Cubs, and is giving up almost a run an inning, but he still feels the need to run off at the mouth. :-k

So is it like a requirement in all White Sox personnel/managers-coaches/players' contracts that they must compete in the thrilling game called "Ultimate Douchebaggery"??

Like Mariotti said, it starts at the top. It starts at the top, for sure, but it sure comes out the bottom end just fine on the South Side as well.

All I want is for the Cubs to sweep this pathetic, trash talking, low class organization. I've never really cared about the Sox or anything they did, but after all the cheap shot comments by everyone from their players to their front office, I wish them nothing but bad luck.
