Can anyone remember the last time we've been blown out? It stings because it's been a while. The first two games could've gone either way and they didn't. It's not like we are playing the Royals. We just got beat by a good team. It happens!!!

I remember just one game, cant remember which one exactly though and i dont feel like going back in time trying to remember.

If it makes anyone feel better. Cincy, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, soon to be Houston, San Diego, Washington, Toronto and potentially Cleveland have all been swept this week.

Those teams all suck

Man, the NL blows.

The Jon Lieber Reds game. Still, its not good for the momentum when you have another game at noon tommorow.

Now we've even got the same score as Game 6. Lovely.

No Soriano, Zambrano possibly hurt, overuse catching up to Marmol.

The 100-win talk should probably be over.

Wow, Kyle, I thought you were the one telling everyone to keep the faith when they were awful last year because their numbers said they weren't. Does one bad outing by the bullpen really change that much? This was bound to happen at some point.

Again, all I said is the 100-win talk should be over. Marmol is showing clear signs of attrition, and he was a huge reason I thought this could be a 100-win team.

We'll still cruise to 90 wins and the playoffs. But without a dominant Marmol, this team looks noticeably worse.

nope. now had the crew, well nope.

that's just strange that it doesn't make you feel better.

ST LOUIS was swept this week. We just got swept and our lead in the standings remains roughly the same. I think you're letting the emotion of your game blur this perspective.

What angers me is this is not a better team the Cubs are losing to.

Welcome to baseball! Where any team can lose on giving day or series. And make no mistake about it, the D-Rays are a very good team.

Well, I did say if. Strange that the entire NL Central was either swept or did the sweeping of a series this week.

Disagree, they'd rather want the chance to get back on track ASAP. If tomorrow was an offday, this would be much worse.

Well yeah, but at the same time, I think like many have said the Crew is the real comp for the division. This sweep with theirs has brought them right back into the race. Especially now that we have a first place team for 3 while they play the O's. I hope we are still up 3.5 on them after this week.

Means nothing! didn't the the Phillys just blow out the Cards by 20 runs and then lost the next 2?

Ah well, the Cubs were gonna get swept eventually. At least it happened at the hands of one of the few genuinely good teams in baseball.

This is true and I know how misinformed and petty this must sound, but good god, did it have to be the RAYS, of all teams?

Well guys, the first 3 game losing streak, with the last game being a spectacular collapse started by our stud set up guy. If there is a time to find out how this team handles a bit of adversity, it is now.

I am going to the game tomorrow. Should be interesting.

Eh...it's a team we rarely see or have to deal with. I think it would suck much more coming at the hands of a regular rival.

More importantly, it came at the same time the Cards got swept.

We must all agree never to speak of this series again. Its was an exibition series, got it.

I worry that the good old home cooking is going to get turned on its ear this weekend and the Cubs lose/get swept.

I guarantee you we won't get swept...but we could easily lose the series.
