Lavin is a total goof but he does so many Big Ten games he's kind of our goof. Plus he's kind of fun, does a pretty good job breaking things down and is pretty knowledgable about Big Ten coaches/players.

Every ESPN studio analyst is just hammering the Big Ten and they're using such stupid rationale for their bashing.

I think the rationale that the players aren't very good is pretty reasonable.

Tell that to Louisville, Duke, Kansas, UCLA, Missouri, Florida State, Texas, Butler, Oklahoma State, Boston College, et al.

Manny Harris is as good as anyone in America.

When the highest rated pro prospect in the league is BJ Mullens it doesn't speak well about the depth of talent in the conference. Obviously NBA projectability and how good the teams are on the college level are two different things but if you compare the talent level of the Big 10 now to what it was just a couple years ago I think it's fair to say the overall talent level is pretty down.

The best talents in the conference are fringe lottery guys at best (Mullens and Turner). The Big 10 won't be drafting many players into the NBA over the couple years.

you really have no idea what you are talking about.

You can't tell me that there are more than 2 surefire first round picks in the Big 10 in the next two drafts.

I'm embarassed. These are the kind of performances that made me stop watching Michigan for half the season. Not because I'm fair weathered, but because their style of offensive basketball is just so annoying and frustrating to watch. Although this team has achieved more than any team in the last 11 years, it's probably not my favorite team of the last 11 years.

personally i just hate teams that rely really heavily on the three, so i don't like michigan for that reason only.

Yeah me too. Especially when said team has shown the ability to do so much more but keeps coming back to jacking up 3's. They aren't even that good at it.

A few years ago everyone said there was only Bracey Wright in the conference. Two years later Devin Harris and Deron Williams are stars.

It's not our fault we couldn't fit Lil Romeo under our scholarship limit.

wow, didn't know Kramer could do that

What'd he do, not fall down when a guy dribbled near him?

he probably didn't throw his hands in the air or get a whiny look on his face after getting called for a foul.

Ball State will be going down in the MAC semifinals to Buffalo because they can't rebound. And another tournament with no one to root for.

Harris, Sims, and Johnson are in no way "surefire" first round picks. Harris and Sims are pretty low ceiling guys on the next level. Johnson has the most potential but there are probably half a dozen power forward prospects out of the sophomores alone that rate higher than him.

Guys reassure me I'm starting to get nervous with temple, Baylor, and Maryland making runs. This is turning into worst case scenario. Michigan is still a borderline lock right? By that I mean they are a very likely bubble team that gets in.
