10 point lead with 8 minutes to go against Drake? Not good enough. Wasted a 7/8 3pt performance from Lucca Staiger in the first half as well. Iowa will win by double digits this weekend unless ISU finds an offense that shows up for 40 minutes.

I don't understand that at all, Drake is horrid this year (the MVC is as a whole). A rare OOC win against a BCS school for our conference this year, so I'll take it.

And yeah, Stephen Curry is awesome. His ability to create shots the way he does is unreal. I think he'll be a decent NBA player.

ISU will play out of their minds on Friday as they generally do against Iowa.

You're confusing football with basketball here. ISU and Iowa are even over the last 10 years, which matches up pretty well with the quality of teams that they've had over that period.

Yeah it's pretty much turned into a series where home court rules.

just to weigh in on curry, i think he's a great college player, he's a terrific shooter that has a very natural feel for the game. he's got this rythm, this strange ability to predict where a defending player is going and how long to hesitate, when to fake, when to go up with the shot, when to take the ball to the hole, when to shoot......etc.

however, he isn't very explosive, he's not particularly quick, he's not big, and he's not physical. i don't see him being a star in the nba. i've seen it before, and in major conferences. let's not get carried away on the kid.

On Sportscenter they polled what people thought he'd be in the pros...it was a landslide 50 states thought he'd be a role player

he's clever enough with the ball and he has a quick enough shot to get it off in the nba, at least i think he does. if you look at him and then look at jj redick when he came out, who looks like a better prospect? curry by a mile, because he can create his own shot and he looks like he might actually be able to run the point.

I think he looks like a less muscular version of Ben Gordon. Quick with a quick release and a great shot.

if you take ben gordon's strength away, he wouldn't be nearly the same player, though. and i don't think that curry is very quick at all, at least not nba quick.

Agast what is this! I'm agreeing with IMB. Am I still dreaming?

He showed off some good passing skills last night as well. I think he can make a very good sharp shooting point guard. He's no where near as good of a passer (although he could get there don;t really know yet) but I can't help but see Steve Nash. He can shoot, is quick enough to drive but isn't really big enough to do it much and more so than anything else he can just see the court like no one else. All those things I think describe both Curry and Nash. Will Curry be as good as Nash? I highly doubt it. Those type of PG's don't come around often but in terms of comparing Curry to someone that's who I see.

really? he seems really quick to me. maybe it's as much cleverness and body control as quickness, but i think he can hang in the nba in that department.

the only thing is he's going to have to be able to shoot a high percentage in the nba, cause he won't be able to defend bigger point guards at all.

i could see him as kind of like the kevin martin of point guards, maybe.

i think it's the cleverness, or resourcefulness with the ball in his hands. he just seems to know which way to go and how to get his man in the air and when to shoot.

it's not quickness at all. i mean, if you look at the guys playing for UNC or UConn---that's quickness, that's ungodly quickness. he's just very decisive and wise with the ball, although after turning th ball over 8 times last game, i don't know how much water that sentiment holds right now.

I agree. He does a lot of Rip or Reggie things to get open. He cuts just inside or outside of a guy so the defender has no choice but to trail him. He does that kind of thing all game long to get open and we all know him with a small opening is game over.

going back a little way, for all of you youngsters, the name randolph childress comes to mind when i think of stephen curry.

but curry is a patriot so he'll stand up for the national anthem

and he can tie his shoes in one try

penn state leads army 23-22 at halftime. it's worth noting that army lost by 16 points at home to a school called presbyterian.

Penn State is in their "losing easy OOC games and costing themselves a shot at the tourney" portion of their schedule

Well the BTN stream is a little better than it was early in the year, but still it sucks.

Don't worry though, the actual channel is showing Michigan vs. Notre Dame.

Women.

ANd would it kill you to put the damn clock on the screen??

They only use those for football games. I can't remember why, but it's some dumbass reason.

And I spoke too soon, this isn't really any better.

I'm not having any problems. It just sucks they can't have the score and clock current.
