Its amazing how Eyre has 30 scoreless innings and I still don't trust him in this situation.

meh whatever. howry's peripherals are basically the same as they've been the past 2-3 years, including the LD/GB/FB rates, and he's walking fewer guys. his BABIP against is .350 this year... it's more a matter of bad luck than bad pitching, even though everyone is acting like howry is somehow ruined this year.

I hate this version of Bob Howry. We need a sick reliever.

 

we already have two, and howry has been very good the past three years.

 

Howry is insanely inconsistent this year. Oh yeah, I meant to say sick middle reliever. Asciano could be that guy.

 

He hasn't been doing too well in AAA since being shipped back.

Well at least Lou had the right idea...too bad Howry couldn't get the job done. Come on Eyre, let's shut the door and give it to Woody in the 9th!

Yep, Howry definitely hasn't turned any kind of corner.

 

He's still only given up 6 runs in his last 19 1/3 innings. It's too early to say if he's going to have a bad month, or if this is just a bump in the road. Every reliever who pitches as much as he does is going to get rocked sometimes.
