Remember... you remember that one time when... when th-th-the cubs won?

That was awesome.

Ya mean that time when Teddy Roosevelt was in the White House ???

What was that like, Fred?

If the Cubs lose this game, I suggest we go back to calling them the Cubs. Super Cubs is just tempting fate.

Yeah I really don't like calling them Super Cubs, I'm pretty sure we lose on a heartbreaker now

I'll change it if you guys want.

no we said in today's thread that if we win we are the Super Cubs. We got to let it float for a game and see how it works.

And oh yeah the Rockies are hitless career wise against Gallagher.

Precisely why I said IF the Cubs lose this game, we should go back to calling them the Cubs. I did not propose changing this thread's title.

what are upset and needing to bold about? Some said they didn't like it, the OP said he would change it if we wanted, I said let it float for game. There's nothing to be upset about. In the words of a very wise man 'Don't worry be happy.'

Sorry. I wasn't upset. I was just pointing out that I didn't propose changing the title for this game.

Ah, swordsman, it was great times !!! Everybody just expected the CUBS (called the Orphans for a while after ol' Cap Anson left) to win..... and they did !! Down in St Louis, the Browns were really bad.... but the Cardinals were worse !!! The only real rival we had back in them days was John McGraw's Giants, but they kept playing guys like Fred Merkel, so that kept things interesting.

After today, 33 of the next 52 games will be on the road. In June and July, the Cubs have a total of 4 home stands, and two of those home stands are only one series.

Remember... you remember that one time when... when th-th-the cubs won?

That was awesome.

Ya mean that time when Teddy Roosevelt was in the White House ???

1908 Cubs did have some badass jackets though!!

Just plugging in Hoffpauir third seems awfully lazy on Lou's part.

Looking at the lineup the Rockies are trotting out, Lou can afford to experiment.

My thoughts exactly. Bad lineup.

probably taking the philosophy that one player's being out shouldn't affect everyone else in the lineup. If you don't put Hoff at 3 then someone else has to be affected and likely will be 3 or 4. This way everyone stays where they would have been if Lee was in. Plus Hoff has done very well since his call up why not give him the 3 spot and see what he can do.

Usually when I'm at work and the game is on WGN, all is good. However, someone's damn kid is watching The Lion King. I think I'm going to punt him.

I just want to add, that while I'm annoyed by my situation, Mufasa is such a badass.

Nah. If you put someone else at number 3, and Hoffpauir further down in the lineup, you risk putting your 3 lefties between the 5th and 8th spots in the order. At least I'm pretty sure that's his thinking
