That is about the 3rd time Theriot has done that this year.

I also believe he's a prima donna who refuses to play anything but leadoff and LF.

That's why when he was traded to Washington he agreed to switch from 2B to LF, no?

And when he signed here he agreed to play CF.

Yeah, that is what I meant to say.

Here comes the Soriano bashing brigade......but yeah, that was pretty awful though.

How can you not bash him for that?

I never said you can't bash him for that. I said it was pretty bad. It's a small group of people that I'm referencing there.

Good call, its the Cubs preventing him from playing that position, although he's Weeksian at 2B. I have heard he refuses to play CF now, though.

I am part of that Brigade.

That guy is a joke and a douchebag. I strongly dislike him in several ways. If he's gonna add regular blown routine OF plays to his repertoire of crap at the plate (well in 85% of his ABs), that would be wonderful.

85% of ABs? Soriano gets on base at a clip a smidge higher than .150.

That was a brutal play though.

Yeah, but look at him in LF. Do we want him patrolling CF? He's doing us a favor here, haha

Nice, hurt their pitcher and score a run in the first.

Theriot's OBP now upwards of .402.

Theriot has been a pleasant surprise this year. I know part of his higher OBP is because of his batting average but he has walked a lot more this year than he did last year. He has 29 walks in 235 PA's this year coming into the game after 49 in 597 last year. For the same number of PA's, he's on a pace for 74 this year.

Based on what? All of his public comments (and comments about him from the organization) is that he'll play and hit wherever the team tells him to. I haven't heard any kind of source, leaked or otherwise, indicating anything else.

Then you haven't been paying close enough attention to wrigley23's posts.

I remember flipping on White Sox games in 2005, and I swear every time I flipped to the channel, the Sox were up early. Every day I was like "wth, they are freaking winning again?" Or if they were losing later in the game, I'd later find out that they came back to win and I was just shocked at the number of ways they found a way to win. Anyways, this is what it feels like to watch the Cubs now.

Rammy has never looked better than he has this year.

2006?

What's 2006?

I will admit I barely watched any games that year but I do know Aramis had a great year.
