Well. There hasn't been a Cubs no-no in my lifetime. Z has come closer than this game. I seem to remember one where he was extremely close. Let's hope he goes back to normal after a non-Z like 3rd inning.

He was very close in Arizona in 2003 and was jipped by a blown call.

 

He went into the 8th in 2005 too I believe.

in Colorado. Took it till 2 outs in the 8th. someone beat out an infield single that, upon replay, he was clearly out.

vs. Arizona. Probably 04. He gave up an IF hit on a play where the batter was actually out, missed call by 1B ump. He ended up getting all the of the other 26 outs which woulda been a no-hitter, before giving up a solid hit.

Definitely Arizona.

I'm almost positive it was Arizona.

I was there, it was '03 and it was one of the worst experiences of my life, despite the fact we won. Sosa had 2 HRs of Curt Schilling that game.
