Soto hits a grounder to Ojeda. Ojeda throws out Ramirez at home.

Ramirez got a bad jump on that one.

2 out, Soto at 1B.

One-hopper to second, Ramirez freezes for a split-second to make sure it isn't caught, then breaks for home and is thrown out on a somewhat close play but clearly out.

I can't decide how I feel about the decision to go for it. It was going to be the second out no matter what, I so I don't hate the risk.

Ojeda was playing back far enough that Ramirez should have been going all the way. Soto didn't exactly line that one in the air, you know?

Well they were giving up the run so it was the right move. Ramirez just had to do a better job of reading the hit and breaking right away. Oh well...we've had some hard hit balls off Mad Max already. I think we'll get him the 2nd time through the order.

What was annoying was that Grace said during the Soto bat, that wit the D'backs INF playing back, they were conceding the run. All Soto has to do was put the ball on the ground and the Cubs would lead 1-0 (or something to the affect), and the first thought was......with ARam at 3rd, I want a fly ball in the OF.

And WHY the heck is Ojeda making that throw in the 2nd inning? That doesn't bode well for the D'backs chances at scoring if they are making those kind of decision. They luck out and get the out, but that's not a good decision by Ojeda.
