Lou seems to like keeping a lineup that wins a game, given that the pitchers faced in both games throw with the same hand. I think you will see him go with a different lineup tonight.

Never faced Cueto.

This would be the perfect time for the "Patience Cub" to show up.

Something interesting from Baseball Prospectus:

Cueto is allowing a .421/.442/.711 in 45 plate appearances with runners on base in 45 PAs, versus .170/.204/.351 opponent performance in 98 PA with none on.

This may be a fluke, or he may have problems throwing from the stretch.

what happened to him anyway? I missed the last few games

HBP on the hand on Friday.

Cueto's been really struggling in his last few stats, but we called in Mario Soto and he apparantley discovered what he had been doing wrong. Big start tonight for him. Either he rebounds and Soto discovered what was wrong, or his struggles continue and you really start to worry.

The Reds have their best three pitchers going in this series, which is why I only expect to take 2 of 3 instead of a sweep. This is a bad baseball team, people.

Here's the Reds lineup:

Ryan Freel cf

Ken Griffey Jr. rf

Brandon Phillips 2b

Joey Votto 1b

Edwin Encarnacion 3b

Adam Dunn lf

Jeff Keppinger ss

Paul Bako c

Johnny Cueto p

Griffey's best friend died and he wasn't originally in the lineup. He asked back in it, though.

Adam Dunn is hiting 2 spots ahead of Paul Bako. Thats the funniest thing I've ever seen.
