This is not Lou's doing. You can't let Hill walk the park like he's done all year. He's been bad since ST.

Now call me a Hill basher...

there's just no proof that he's been bad. he's walked a lot of guys, but he's been rather good.

No I'm sure what he just did was bad

no, i'm sure his .671 OPS against says he's been good.

Not only that but he threw 27 pitches.

Wainwright's going to throw an 80 pitch CG.

Ankiel's been practicing the pointless Edmonds dive.

Agreed. Hill's pitches have been very effective when he has command, but you cannot have a walk rate of 7.64 BB/9 (as he did in ST) or 6.63 BB/9 (as he did in the 4 starts before tonight) and expect to continue to remain effective. We've been saying that with Zambrano the last couple years, and Hill has been quite a decent amount worse with his control than Z was in 06 or 07.

BTW, his new total is now 8.24 BB/9 on the season.

there was two outs.. only one run scored.. big deal!

wow.. it was only one run! at least let him pitch to the bottom of the line up!

Dude, he walked 4 guys in the first inning.

Out of context your post make sense. In context it's very stupid.

What doens't make sense? When Hill struggles the collective wisdom around here blames Lou for the most part. Hill has not been very good since Spring Training. I don't know why that is, but he can't throw strikes.

What is stupid would be leaving him out there. He'll turn things around, but its obvious he's not very good right now.

I don't disagree with that I'm just saying he had no idea where the ball was going tonight. Even the K he had he missed Soto's target by a couple of feet

Hill wasn't even close, his delivery looked like crap, and he is a headcase. If he can get thing figured out he will be very good, but when he loses confidence they might as well pull him.

Gee I wonder why he's a headcase? (not that actually believe it to be true)

Sorry to sound like a total d-bag, but no one gives an F about Spring Training.

He's been better than Lilly and Marquis yet he's been on the outside looking in on this crappy starting rotation.

Spring training does matter to an extent. Look at Z's and Woods BB/IP. Z had really good control to years past ratios and this season looks good too, same for wood but not on as large of a scale

His delivery does look like crap. He looks like his lead let is always straight on his delivery and he's not finishing any of his pitches. His delivery hasn't looked "normal" at all this season.

I don't care if you have 10 days off, you should be able to find the plate. Hill is supposed to be a major leaguer. He has side sessions to keep him tuned. I wasn't expecting him to be perfect, but I expected more than this. I wonder if Lou is still fuming from last game and he took it out on Hill. Edited by Wilson A2000

I don't know if he's a headcase but if he is it's because Dusty and Lou have made him one.

Why does Brenly hate Pie?

Bob calls Theriot "The Riot" whenever possible. I really think he just likes the grit factor. It's annoying.

And Wainwright owns us all of a sudden.

Bob's becoming highly annoying.
