Man, Theriot has really hit the ball hard today. I'll give him that.

He's hit the ball well ALL year. No one wants to admit it and it's kinda of lame how much the Theriot haters want him to fail, just so they are proven correct.

I think it's ludicrous to state that Cubs fans here want Theriot to fail.

Seriously. I'm loving Theriot's production. If he keeps it up he can stay in the 2-hole all year. But he's better suited as a backup as long as Ronny is on this team.

He can't stay in the two hole if he is going to keep making outs on the bases though.

He can stay in the two hole as long as he hits .340 even if he gets an out on the base paths once every five games.

I know Marmol hadn't pitched for nearly a week that's why he came in yesterday....but it really sucks if there is a close game tomorrow. I think he could still go 1 inning or get a tough out or 2 if needed tomrorow.

He's been hitting very well compared to what we could expect of him. But that's only good enough to make him Henry Blanco to Ronny Cedeno's Geovany Soto.

Do the Brewers still have 14 pitchers? Curious because the P spot is up second in the ninth. Kapler and Hardy are left, I know, and the backup C.

Just for fun, assuming Theriot has 4 ABs on average over those five games, a ~3.40 average would result in him being about 7/20 over that span. With an out on the basepaths every five games, that would be equivalent to him having a .300 average.

Ouch.
