DeRosa never comes through in this spot

he hit .400 with the bases loaded last season. quit making stuff up.

Quit telling me to do. It's called being emotional in a game thread.

well you take your derosa bashing somewhere else mister.

I can't believe they didn't take out Gallardo. It was obvious he wasn't throwing the same after the knee injury. Good for us though, stupid move by Yost, very stupid.

He was safe but 9 out of 10 times an ump will call him out on that play. It's the assumed tag because the ball got there first effect.

good point, only a .400 average with the bases loaded last year and .480 average with runner on third and less than two outs.

Yeah but in Wash and against NY he had bad abs in similar spots. Let's say I am very glad I was wrong.

I'm an idiot because I always think DeRosa is bad in the clutch too. I think it strangely has to do with his DP in game 3 of the NLDS last year. I'm always petrified that he grounds into a double play in that situation.

Difference in the game: Our 1b can run.

2nd time this season where Lee's athleticism has paid off. The Philly game where Howard missed the DP and Lee made an awesome defensive play was the other.

So Lee's doing's at the plate don't count?

Is anyone warming up in the pen? I'd really like a nice quick inning with Z still in there, but Marmol needs to be ready in case of trouble.

Hey look all the Theriot head hunters have come out from their hiding places.

So people aren't allowed to show their displeasure when players make stupid decisions?

No people can but a lot of the people posting have criticized not just the play. They have said the things they said a month ago. Not a good player, shouldn't be playing, isn't gritty ... etc.

Who ever said that Theriot isn't gritty?

David said "Can we officially put to bed this idiotic notion (probably the result of his white grittiness) that Theriot is such a smart, sound player?"

That would be someone hinting at the fact that Theriot isn't gritty in his mind.
