Yep but I would still rather have a mistake with no outs than two outs.

And you are still wrong. Check a run expectancy chart.

I don't care what a stupid chart tells me. It's a simple fact I would rather have a mistake that doesn't end the inning than one that does. This is why you get more upset when someone strikes out with two outs than with no outs. There is no chance to make up for a two out mistake in a inning. Chart's and statistics aren't the end all be all.

What you are saying is that you'd rather have a 75% chance to get a quarter than a 50% chance to get a dollar.

Except they're based on, you know, facts, and not gut feelings.

it's not a gut feeling it's logic

I can live with the likely loss.

I just hope we don't do anything stupid like make Marmol the closer after this.

we are always on the same page.

How does that make sense??

Middle of the order coming up against Milwaukee's pen.

Bench, Soto, Pie. If we can get Cedeno on and Soto to homer, that's awesome, but I'm not sold on that due-up.

That's really stupid. Really.

That is stupid...Runs and big chances usually come with no outs or one...When it's two outs you usually expect the inning to end, and thats what usually happens

Is your globe flat? Does your car get 20 rods to the hogshead?

The reason you get more upset is because of problems in human perception. The first out costs you more on average than the third one does.

Kerry sucks. I want him in the setup role pronto. I don't wnat to lose Marmol in that spot but we might have to.

Use the better pitcher in the bigger situations, today's results be damned.

why? i'd rather use our best reliever in high-leverage situations. if we're gonna make a change, demote wood to setup guy and make howry the closer.

Fukudome took a bad route on that one and cost us a run

Worst 4 hit day I've seen in awhile, because 2 of those hits ended up as outs on the basepaths, he was part of that dropped fly ball by Prince and now this.
