Dallas swapped firsts with Seattle and also gave up a 5th and a 7th...not a bad trade at all.

"High Character Guy" is getting tossed around quite a bit. I'm all for that being factored in, but the ESPN analysts are making it seem like that's a top requirement.

 

It depends on the team. Some teams will drop quite a few players off of their board entirely because of character issues. I know the Colts only have 150 players on their entire draft board this year, and that's probably a big reason why. There's probably 10 other teams that are extremely hesitant to take somebody with any character issues.

 

Then you have the 5-6 teams who simply don't care about character, and the other 15 are somewhere in between.

Dolphins pick shortly. No idea what to expect. Balmer's gone, and there's another big dropoff at DT. best value is probably at WR, where everybody is still left...or possibly a trade down, since the Dolphins have no 4th or 5th. CB would be a good direction, but the ones I hoped would slip are all gone now...maybe Flowers?

Oh, it's clear for some teams it is a big requirement. What I meant is that, IMO, the ESPN guys are making it seem like it SHOULD be a top requirement. In certain situations (Bengals), I can understand that. But I think in general, it should be down the list a bit.

 

Of course, it's such a vague term, maybe I'm just interpreting it differently.
