Does anyone know the blackout situation for this game? I'm hoping that because it's on WCIU we'll get the ESPN telecast but they always seem to be blacked out.

 

 

Just saw on ESPNEWS, on the info display about the game, that it "will be available on ESPN in all markets, including Chicago and New York".

 

Nice. So not only will I not get totally blacked out, it'll be in HD too! :thumbsup:

For the most part, no. The more crowded (and younger) the bar though, the more likely you'll see the idiots.

 

 

One thing of note is there is no Yankees game tonight. And there's no Rangers/Devils game either. So any bar I'd go to is going to be dominated by this game. I might have to go out.

Im going to miss the game..I'm going to be bowling a rolloff for the league championship tonight..Looks like I won't be mentally prepared because I'll be thinking about the game the whole time and running into the bar for updates..Damnnit

Well this is perfect because I have a 2 1/2 hour class that starts at 6 tonight.

 

Me too, except I'm 6-9 (Eastern). Probably get back around 9:30 and start it from the top with my DVR. I don't know how I lived before HD and DVR...on second thought maybe I didn't know what living was then?

52" flat screen hd. All sorts of wine, beer and booze. I think there's water and milk somewhere too. Wife's arrival time depends on how busy she is today, probably a bit before gametime (same as me). If she's home by first pitch she will most likely want to make a good dinner.

 

My guess is I'm going to get home before her, and therefore get dog walking duty. I'll dvr the start of the game in case I don't get back in time, then fast forward up to real time. Luckily the pooch spent all weekend wrestling other pooches and will be fine with a shorter-than-usual walk.

I have class that starts at 7 here on the east coast, but it's not a problem. I have MLB.tv and my computer in class, so that's basically what I plan on doing for those 2 hours.

I really hope this is available in all markets. Usually whenever a Cubs game is on both CSN and ESPN, ESPN is always blacked out over here. But if it's available in all markets, that would eliminate that problem.

I was at the Phillies/Mets game last night, and from what I saw: Yes, they are that obnoxious. Not that Phillies fans are any prize either, but at least it was their home field. The Mets fans were loudly talking smack for most of the game and several fights broke out in center/left field resulting in numerous ejections. Although, as a dispassionate observer, it was amusing to watch.
